Before I continue with the suggestion I want to point out that this suggestion is meant for the far future of War Thunder and by no means meant for anytime soon. Also this ship is also currently under construction so as more pictures and status comes out i will update such as name of class etc…
The ASEV goes as far back to 2017 of December when Japan showed interest in the Aegis Ashore program, the cabinet of Japan approved procurement of two Aegis ashore with SPY-7 installations, The installation sites are at a Ground Self-Defense Force training area in Araya District, Akita Prefecture and the Mutsumi training area in Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture. However on 15 June 2020, The Japanese defense minister announced that work had been halted on the system due additional costs needed to ensure that civilian buildings would not get hit by missile debris. later that month the procurement was canceled.
In 2022 the ministry of defense announced plans for 2 Aegis system equipped vessels to replace the cancelation of the Aegis Ashore procurements, these vessels would act as moving versions of the system. 2 ships would be built and as classified as Guided Missile Cruisers CG-191 and CG-192 respectfully, technically making these 2 ships as the first officially designated cruisers in Japans navy since WW2 and first Missile cruisers in its arsenal, though one could argue Kongo, Atago and Maya classes are such ships already. Not long after inital designs and specifications released, announcing a behemoth of a ships consisting of a standard displacement of 20,000T each, an overall length of 690 ft or 210 m, and a beam of 130 ft or 40 m on a monohull configuration. However in November of 2022 it was announced that the specs would be downsized due to the size reducing its speed, agility and most importantly stealth as it would be seen easier and hit easier due to its size. on 23 December 2022, the Japanese MOD released additional 2023 budget and program guidance, including the first official illustration of the ASEV warship

On 19 December 2023 approval for the funding and procurement two ASEV warships to be commissioned in 2027 and 2028. Over the next few years we have gotten other models and pictures of the ships look.
And as of 2026 both ships are under construction, the first ship was laid down on 18 July 2025 since then the speed of the ships construction has been impressive.
as of August 30th 2026 the major components of the ship has been built and assembled together.
For anti air/ship/missile/ballistic missile defense the ship will Feature a larger VLS configuration consisting of 128 Cells and a as built missile configurations consisting of SM-3BLK 2A, SM-6, ESSM and 8 missile canisters for Type 17 anti ship missiles. this gives it high flexibility and high missile load, ESSM can be quad packed giving it more defense in less cells, and SM-6 allowing it to engage aircraft, missiles and act as a high speed anti ship missile, depending on the loadout this ship can be seen carrying over 300+ missiles!
For anti submarine the ship will have a built in bow sonar and other equipment usually found on destroyers also ASROC (Type 07 carrying Type 12 torpedo) and for close in defense it will have 2 phalanx ciws, and 2 30mm autocannons in enclosed turrets, along side jamming and ecm capabilities and countermeasures help with defense.

For War Thunder purposes this ship will be incredibly powerful, and versatile and would essentially be the future top dog for Japan naval forces in the far future. it would be Japans best counter against other high VLS ships such as Ticonderoga class, Type 055, Kirov class battlecruiser, and ROK Sejong The Great. With Kongo, Atago and Maya class as back ups it will be a strong line up.
