For a long time now the bitter rivals in the PRC and ROC have been exclusively and a-historically participating in battles together. I propose that upon the introduction of the DPRK and ROK, the PRC/ROC tree be split apart and join their respective allies. The PRC will keep the moniker of China and intake the DPRK as a replacement sub-tree, while the ROK will take the moniker of Korea and intake the ROC as its sub-tree. Although more Soviet and Japanese copypaste vehicles will have to be utilized early on and the early ranks will look pretty similar, I believe this will make the two trees more distinct and give them a chance to fight each other in a more historical manner.

There is no historical matchmaking. The two are as likely to find each other on the same team as opposite.
And then there is the headache of trying to unentangle the two trees without screwing anyone’s work or especially premium spending.
Ground Sim
Gaijin already announced that the tech tree will house both nations under a single tech tree, I doubt they’ll change because of historical reasons on that matter, it’s probably the best to be doing since it shows a neutrality on politics something this thread is discussing about and it’s forbidden in the Forums.
Fair enough if Gaijin gave the bare minimum of attention to simulator battles let alone ground simulator battles. If that’s was the case a system to separate vehicles operated by historical enemies like East and West Germany, Popular Republic of China and Republic of China would’ve been implemented. You have East Germany’s T-72M1 and Leopard 1A5 fighting on the same side for example.
There is no “PRC” or “ROC” tech tree though, it’s just “China”, a name both countries have in their names.
There’s no reason to split things up.
