Cause it’s a good 10.7.
What’s so great about it? It flies slower than the Su-25 and Su-39, and what’s more, the A-10A overtakes it, it doesn’t make it to its bases in time. What’s the point of it at such a high BR? If the US has the A-10A at the same BR with better armament and AIM-9L, plus it has maneuverability and Mavericks with bombs.
The F-111A is clearly not at its BR.
There is no supersonic aircraft at 10.7 with AIM-9Ls.
The A-10 and Su-25 are slower.
And F-111A is better used as a strike aircraft than a bomber, even then it’s among the fastest bombers at 10.7.
F-111A is not and has never been at a “high BR” for its capabilities.

The F-111s are some of the fastest planes in the game, where’d you get the idea they’re slower then the slowest modern jets.
The fastest MiG-23ML, it is 100% the first to arrive to bomb bases and the first to kill bombers. The F-111A is the slowest aircraft, it is easily overtaken by the Su-25 and Su-39.

Well, somewhere around the middle of the map he barely reaches 1000 km/h. I specifically launched a battle and look how far everyone flew.
Why are you using such a comically large bomb load? You’re carrying well over 3x as much suspended armaments as they are. You’re going to be slow when carrying any extra 10 tonnes of munitions, you literally have enough bombs to destroy all 4 bases lmao. Also the outside ones stop you from swinging your wings back. Remove your outside ones and you’ll be much, much faster, the plane is extremely fast, you’re just carrying way too many bombs.
Mig-27 bomb load max: 3,500kg~
Su-25 bomb load max: 4,000kg~
A-10 bomb load max: 6,000kg~
Your bomb load: 13,000kg~
You can forget about the bases, the MiG-23 will fly to the bases three times faster than you. Your only target is the tank columns. I took an empty F-111A and still the MiG-23 is twice as fast as me.
A mig-23 is faster, yes, but they shouldn’t be more then like 2~ kilometers ahead of you with reasonable bomb loads, and there’s more then just one base. You still should most definitely not be losing to frogfoots or warthogs though if you were taking reasonable loadouts though.
Also even for ground targets you shouldn’t be taking 750lb bombs, the F-111 gets comical amounts of rockets which will do you much better, or even the 500lb ones would be better.
I entered the battle especially for you, fuel at minimum, only 4 napalm bombs. As you can see, there are already many different planes ahead of me that are the first to arrive at the base. 10 km faster than me. What bases are you talking about?
Then you’re bringing the wrong loadout cause the Su-25 cannot even get to its own top speed
Mig-23ML is tied with F-111F in acceleration, and that’s with the F-111F having 12 500 pound bombs equipped.
Everything wrong with this takeoff: Flaps are being used, too many bombs.
If your goal is base bombing you only need 1 base worth of bombs, which is 2 napalm, or 2 3000 pound bombs.
Advice: 1- Never use flaps on takeoff, your takeoff speed is 310kph IAS without flaps so you’ll be fine.
2- If your goal is base bombing, only bring 1 base of bombs. 2 napalm on one pylon will do the trick, here’s the loadout I tested with:
