IRIS-T, ASRAAM, and AIM-9X are 3 of the best IR missiles in western airforces ever.
There isnt a system vital to modern IR missiles that isnt on them. So yeah they have IRCCM lol

I would be for it if they added AIM 9x & r 73m. But honestly there’s only a few aircraft in game that carried them, those being on the same planes that have fox 3’s. So who knows how useful in the current meta they would be.

I argue MICA IR is superior to AIM-9X, it’s got a number of advantages to the sidewinder.
Irrelevant of the IIR fox 2 olympics, I assure you if these weapons are added people will look back fondly on early Fox 3 gameplay with fondness when going within visual range is a guaranteed death to a missile completely immune to flares (well, French smart flares might fare a bit better than others, but gaijin won’t model that.)
It’ll be safer to throw Fox 3 missiles at each other from extreme distance. Rushing the middle of the map will be death, no argument. Even HEL DIRCM will have trouble actually defeating IIR missiles like IRIS-T, ASRAAM and MICA IR. AIM-9X early block could at least be defeated by abusing the AIM-9M seeker it had at first.
Tbh it’s a German missile if someone gonna get it first it should be German not Sweden

Actually if gaijin finally decides to add multi spectral flares that would also counter it but those will probably come with earlier IIR missiles
it cant still counter it, as i said it can change from IR to electroptical if it has the need to, rn we dont even know what counters it effectively that isnt an active weapon, has a lot of systems against countermeasures either by messing with its navigation systems via high radio frequencies or anything dosent work cuz of the external cover to protect it against that

Its easy to make bait posts that rile up the community and for the poster its easy to just sit back and watch.
yeah but this dosent mean they counter them completely they basically overwhelm the sensors to confuse the missile, IRIS-T’s IIR seeker allows it to create a detailed image of the target, and can filter the flares due to the advanced signal processing unit it has, being capable of filtering a target based on shape, size, and movement patterns
