T-62D-1 is the upgraded version of T-62D.

T-62D-1 equipped with KAZ 1030M “Drozd” active protection system (APS), BDD apply armour on the glacis plate only fitted with a new V-46–5M diesel engine (the same engine on T-62M-1).
