Description: With the recent “Ninth Wave” update, we can now attach tires to the sides of naval vessels. In reality, these are used as improvised fenders to absorb impact and protect the hull when mooring or coming alongside a pier, especially for smaller coastal craft.
Currently, War Thunder only offers a single tire as a 3D decoration. But it feels somewhat lacking when trying to recreate the rugged, realistic look of small patrol boats or auxiliary vessels that often carry multiple tires lashed together.
The Proposal: I suggest adding “Tire Bundles” as a new 3D decoration category for naval vessels to enhance realism and customization options.
Why should this be added?
For Historical/Visual Realism: Many small boats (MTBs, Sub-chasers) historically used multiple tires to protect their hulls.
Aesthetic Variety: It adds to the “battle-hardened” look of the coastal fleet, fitting perfectly with the atmosphere of the recent naval updates.
I have attached an AI-generated concept image to illustrate how these tire bundles would look when mounted on the side or stern of a ship. I believe this would be a simple yet highly effective addition to the naval customization system.
