Agreed, indirect fire will be far to annoying to deal with like with what loner does. People can still estimate distances with the grids on the map. However, other map annotations like arrows showing flanking routes or where enemies are headed may be a good addition.
if they are scouted, a littler direction arrow on the scout mark could be intresting

If action could be done really fast, like few different placeable on map icons
+1, would be a neat feature
I can see this going in very funny ways. Good thing to limit it to just players in a squad although would be cool if they could all add their own stuff to it.
