Being defensive is basically a game of who blinks first. If you’re alone vs multiple enemies, it is only tenable if one of them doesn’t actively drain your tickets. If that happens, you have to run the gauntlet and take your chances.
In other words, this is the old maxim in play, “the enemy always gets a vote”. These two voted to let the Bf 109 camp the airfield, so they’re demanding that player be punished because of their poor tactics.
You just need to aim at the windows. No need to pen. I on e killed a pillbox with the machineguns of a japanese zero. Sure it took 20 passes but it worked.
Basically what I am saying is you should be able to easily kill a pillbox by shooting at the windows
And yet the Bf109 would have had to run that gauntlet, if the other enemy was draining tickets. In that situation, if the Bf refused and stayed put, they would receive their punishment anyway - in the form of losing the match.
OP and friend had the tools to win. They just got outplayed.
we had no tools to win. we both had to RTB since we ran out of ammo trying to kill ground. the travel back we wouldnt have been able to do anything as one. the american zero gets no ground oridnance. and two. the p51 is fighter
My 20 and 13mm guns pen that heavy box and AA surrounding it; killing those gives enough to deplete someone’s tickets. Even if it’s not a map like that, they’re still in a bf109 and p51 that can be just as impactful as a plane with ordnance or ground ammunition. Plus, if someone’s playing ARB but is stock, the default rounds STILL give you ground rounds, so it can still be useful, and IF they had access to the bombs and rockets, they shoulda landed, j’d out, and respawned back in with ground ammo.
Number one, I’m replying to him. Number two, I didn’t see the replay, so I don’t know if you guys decided to ground pound with 100 bullets left in the tank or 1000. If that is the case, then you should’ve gone to rearm; the guy farther up said that you guys had 9-13mins to go and ground pound. That is a LOT of time to go rearm at the nearest airfield and come back. Even if it’s 1000 miles away
Also, WITH my (and i mean every one of my bf109’s and p51’s), I was able to see that almost all of those planes had at least 1000-3000 bullets in that tank; that’s enough to clear the whole map of aa’s and the pillboxes and even the supply vehicles. Sure, one of the P-51s has 500 cannon rounds, but even THAT is enough to do the same damage.
Kill ground targets.
Or kill the fighter; AF AAA is pretty solidly in the “utter trash” end of Gaijin’s endless cycle of balance changes at the moment.
