both gbu types locked the sight on a tank. and now it suddenly doesnt after i played it in a custom
binding issue perchance. Maybe restart the game or bug
alrighty. cus i have my sight stab set to numb-0
You could have 100% killed him with only the machine guns; just shoot for the pilot.
my aim isnt good enough with 500 7.62 rounds lol
oof
yea im tryna work on my 7.62 aim lol. im good with 20mm tho
do short burst and turn off vertical targeting because it actually is bad. its improved my aim and playstyle so much too.
People just want a free and easy kill these days. If I’m last alive in a prop and I know they are trying to airfield camp, I’ll just climb in a circle around my airfield till I am actually at a height to fight them more equally.
the aa should disable at the last 5 to 7 minutes of a match. people just camp there nonstop till timer drains
-
If you would have read what i wrote in my initial reply to your nonsense you would have noticed that i addressed the fact that the quality of kills is decisive and not the numbers - and the ability to adapt to specific map conditions is on old legacy maps equally important.
-
The underlying issue remains the same: If you attack the wrong targets at the wrong point in time you lose by tickets - it doesn’t matter what you have done during the match or how well you have performed.
-
Every long term player is aware of that getting kills is much easier than in 2019-2021 - and your distraction with complaining about insufficient armament for killing tanks is not dealing with the core issue - certain maps simply require that you have to prevent the other team to kill your own ground units to avoid such an impossible task in the first place.
Your accusation: “that consist of you airfield camping” is flat wrong - you might have played too many missions at jet BRs with insane SAM ranges - but af aaa at prop BRs is useless above 4 km and the death bubble of 4 km in diameter.
Long match duration does not imply that af aaa played a role - and playing the long game works with positioning and not camping.
I was in none of these matches forced to use airfield aaa to my advantage - and even if the “bubble of death” would have been 7 km none of my enemies came even close to my airfield in all of these matches .😎
Summary of 4 matches
- Match #1: Total collapse of my own team - i decided to stay very high and flew top cover for a B-17 at 9 km - mission failed.
- Match #2: I faced a coordinated 3 men squad, tried to outclimb them and played 1 vs 6 after 9 minutes. I forced one of the squad members to crash and played the long game as they were all too slow, i killed 2 of the enemies very late and lost by tickets vs 1 remaining enemy.
- Match #3: I played 2 vs 2 and had to wait until the 2 remaining enemies split up - killed their 6 kill player and the last guy extended too far that it was impossible to kill him before his tickets ran out. EZ win with a single kill.
- Match #4: I played 1 vs 1 vs the last enemy after 11 minutes. He tried to outclimb me and retreated at 8 km alt towards his main airfield. I was about to catch him but broke off at ~ 6 km distance as i don’t fight above the enemy airfield and had a ticket lead.
That just ruins other types of gameplay then. Making people who genuinely need to land for more fuel and ammo sitting ducks is not a valid trade-off. Something that would make more sense is that if someone is sitting above their airfield for an extended period of time, that the AAA batteries lose efficiency due to not wanting to hit their own aircraft.
then make it turn off if they are landed more than 3 minutes
If they are already on the ground for more than a minute, the game drains tickets for inactivity. I’m talking once in the air.
It dose work, but they need to J out to trigger it, I lost a match recently because I needed to switch to drop tanks, I touched down, J-ed out, selected drop tanks, hit the afterburner and the tickets bleed out, I was on the ground for less then 30 seconds and had 2 or 3 kills.
“The enemy won’t come out to 1v2 while it is at a positional disadvantage and thus reasonably leverages the tickets it’s team drained as a way to achieve victory”
That’s what this post is about, a strike aircraft actually helping it’s team that isn’t “headon 2 dudes and die”
That is still the main reason why you lost:
You had the tools, but your lack of experience created the low ammo situation in the first place.
Every experienced player is fully aware of that if you play on Sicily with a spawn from the airfield in the west that in case of a ticket disadvantage you have either to kill a hell of pillboxes - or to kill the last enemy as your ticket deficit increases as soon as your own ai tanks at grid C5 run into enemy pillboxes and die like flies.
So it comes back to decision making:
- If you are experienced enough you don’t waste ammo on ai planes like your P-51 D-5 buddy (as they don’t drain your tickets) or kill ground on the left side of the map (like u did before rearming) as the ground units north of the lake kill your tickets very fast.
- That means: Either you retreat, climb and try to attack the last enemy with an energy / altitude advantage or you focus in your second run exclusively on pillboxes in order to equalize the tickets.
- But as shown in the replay you wasted your chance to kill the 109 when he was busy killing ai planes as you wasted your ammo earlier and both of you did not kill pillboxes in a significant number to turn the tickets around.
You still push this irrational nonsense. Camping does not work when you land like the 109 - camping requires to stay airborne at very high speeds in order to dodge incoming attacks to ensure that af aaa kills you before you get a shot.
Therefore you can repeat this over and over again, but this does not change the fact that you played 2 (2 x lev 100) vs 1 after 11 minutes and were unable to beat a level 13 player as you made the wrong decisions - and lost by tickets.
Whilst i agree to your 1st part - this quote is not really correct as the severe ticket disadvantage was caused by an at least 10 months old change on this map:
-
Last year I lost and won matches by tickets on Sicily “out of nowhere” even after 15-16 minutes and decided to take a closer look why this happened. It boils down that somebody fiddeled either with spawn locations (=map specific) or the speed of attacking ai tanks (=probably valid for all maps) - but the result is devastating: Ai tanks attacking north of the lake in the center run into a kind of “Crossing the T” scenario (like in naval battles) and die like flies.
-
And depending on how the air battle develops you can either watch how your or the tickets on the other team melt away. That’s why i wrote multiple times that experienced players are aware of this flaw and come to the right conclusions.
-
The previous posts showed that the op made the wrong decisions and had even despite this flaw all cards to win the game without any efforts - but instead the tenor shifted away from own responsibilities - that½s why i decided to add my 5 cents.
I described this flaw in detail here (October, 2025):
Have a good one!
camping airfield is a bannable action and there should be ways to counter it
he is faster. he outruns us. we had to rearm giving him 8 minutes to just camp airfield. took forever to fly to him. not enough time AFTER rearming to bleed ai tickets
