I mean you are right, it isn’t the same consistence because most of the specifications and documents about the system cannot be accessible to the general public as they’re still classified, and not because they’re used somewhere else, just because as I said above, there is only one person remaining who is still connected to the whole ADATS program which I talked to
That’s also true
thats new hmm
so what is the solution then really?
Cue to radar, TWS. All this stuff
hmm, well i want a second opinion
would cue to radar be better? since the radar is also kinda ass
You have a choice of either eyeballing the missile, or game autolocking it for you.
And remember that radar should get better
Its RNG some maps (or situations) make them more or less “hot”. I was able to lock them from 5-8km too as condor said but this lock is so damn unstable. So yeah… Its total RNG at the moment
Is there actually any source that the ADATS can track missiles, not search radar track them but laser range track them, what was the track laser beam width?
classified
Okay found the source. That source, however, is from the 2000’s since it links to Oerlikon.ca a page which started in 2001, do you have one for the US ADATS?
I am just wondering because it is not advertised as anti-missile in any of 1980’s sources I have seen so far.
Nope. I have that only for CanDATS. But they are treated identically in game, so unless they specifically decide to diffrentiate them later they will have the same capability.
Things that would differ are for example CanDATS would have 20 TWS targets, while the US one only 6.
Oh, so the US one also got upgraded. I thought it stopped on 6.
did you do a bug report on adats having stabilizer?
No, and it cant be done. In game stabilizer is based on weapon. ADATS has a stabilized sight, but not missiles.
what about it?
23 seconds of adats going around with a stabilized missiles mount and gun mount
its basically stabilized like the ito
You can see the missiles jump around
at around 0:30 sec i dont think it jump around, the thing is fire on the move capable so id argue that it should have like a low speed stabilizer
