ADATS, what Gaijin got wrong

I’m going to work on it

yep its working as THE DEVS intended. can barely lock on to targets and you cant see where youre shooting.

ground forces is in a great place for anyone that like air vehicles.

HE-VT on the York no longer arms on missiles…

If they don’t fix it please let me know, I have a primary source with the round functioning against missiles.

its almost like they only want one country to have good AA…

Lmaaao actually true. They labeled it as not bug

Tbh i was sceptic too about this. Missile cant pull infinte Gs. Gayjin should revert this stupid tracerless motor

Wdym infinite g? I used real life tests as a base. The missile hit those targets in real life.

A bunch of tests

In this test missile should fly just in front of the plane

Here it should impact cockpit area

image

And here it should rip the plane wing with direct impact

See a problem?
Then how about flying in the middle of the beam in a straight line?
No, not here,
image
7km, we are slowly getting there,
image
8k. We are in the beam. Not in the middile, but its progress,
image
And 10km. Never in the middle of the beam.

Is this truly a behavior correct to the real life?

Well… I m not engineer in this stuff but idk how can missile stay in middle when its out of energy which makes missile not catch up with laser “position” change rate

In the second case I launched it in a straight line, 0 movement

The missile’s battery will run out or the missile’s sensors will lose the laser before it runs out of energy, it’s a non-issue for this kind of weapon.

The more pressing issue is how the laser cone becomes larger over distance, which is why the missile is designed to target the center of the laser and not “roughly anywhere in the laser cone”.

the way the tech mod quickly locked the thread is a bit suspicious. he didnt even required more info, he just went “nope”.

first the stormer and now this. its showing a pattern.

The ADATS uses a continous zoom telescope for its laser, ensuring it stays in the best possible condition for the missile.

As for the guiding

I tried to reach out to some people from Gaijin side, but nothing as of now.

this is too many words for them to understand, and being its not from a russian source they wont trust it

Yea, not very trustworthy source

I hope u are right lol

the missile was able to do a direct impact in a plane wing in these conditions

TM means training mode, meaning missile is just a flying dart. No proxy nothing.

image
I would say it keeps its energy decently.
And before anyone says anything, ADATS has a centroid autotracker
image

Meaning that shot was done by the system means only, no fancy leading 10km infront like in game.

So lead mechanic as tor and s1?

36 degree off inbound, as seen on the picture

No. Operator can change the position of the laser within what the system considers the target. So withing the 4 corners laser can be aimed anywhere.
The missile is precise enough to hit just what it needs to. No fancly lead calculation like pantsir.
You have to go there and missile goes there (ofc not in every situation, but you get the point)
