What is this “plunger” on the end of these bombs, and what model are they? 100 or 250?
It’s a nose fuse extension, they were used before electric VT fuses were reliable to increase the height of burst and make bombs have a larger explosion effect since a regular nose fuse would cause to burry itself in the ground and then detonate which reflects the blast wave upwards, wasting energy.
As to which I’m not really sure, but it’s probably the AN-M30, 100lb GPHE bomb judging by the spacing between them.
