Abrams

Oh I’m just here poking fun at someone going in circles and stumbling on themselves.

  • Attempts to change their argument

  • Gets called out for it

  • muh personal attacks

Sure my guy.

BeautifulTai_wan has already proven my statement.

I’m not trying to sound like an ass, but there are still genuine problems with the Abrams in the game currently, like the location of the hydraulic pump. Any round that penetrates the Abrams, at least in my experience, disables the turret ring. Also, the turret ring armor being pierced by low-caliber APFSDS from the front is painful, as it’s supposed to have more protection. I will agree that there are a lot of people in here just talking out of their asses, and other tanks are also in need of fixing (cough Ariete cough cough).

changing the way you explain the argument and still not catching the argument its a issue most commonly found in people who are illiterate

havent seen him victimizing or anything he did say he got jumped for comparing the weakspots of the abrams to the leopard 2A6 but that’s a fact not cope or anything

the abrams ofc needs its fixes but this dosent mean the abrams its a bad vehicle on the contrary its a jack of all trades and master of none, having good mobility on M1A1’s and M1A2 without considering SEP variants, has relatively good armor, the turret ring ofc its still a very big weakspot but that’s already the design of the tank, and the firepower and fire rate are pretty good too

I’m gonna have to disagree on the turret ring as its current form is not how it’s supposed to be

ik that’s regarding the bug fixes with the turret ring supossed to be at 200 mm thick to stop autocannon fire but i already left my opinion on the matter, when i meant part of the design is that its not gonna stop a full caliber apfsds ofc but should at least with autocannon

i agree with you completely

M1 Abrams:
Excellent and possibly the best all around 10.3 MBT. Features a great combination of the best survivability at 10.3, excellent mobility, fantastic gun handling, average armour and the best reload rate. Extremely versatile.

IPM1 / M1A1:
They’re extremely similar so I’ll list them together. They’re currently among the best MBT’s relative to their BR’s in the game. They frequently see downtiers where they’re the kings on the battlefield. That said, if uptiered into Strv 122’s and 2A7’s they do tend to struggle, but that’s true of all other MBT’s too. At least they still have firepower, gun handling and mobility that’s competitive with any other 11.7 MBT.

M1A1 HC / AIM / Click-Bait:
Decent all around MBT’s, these suffer more so from having to face tough opposition on a more regular basis than the 11.0 M1’s. When compared against other 11.3’s they often come out as the better vehicle however. Gen 1 thermals can be a annoyance to some, I personally don’t mind it too much.
Obviously suffers from massive numbers of inexperienced players.

M1A2 / SEP:
Very solid MBT’s, possibly contenders for the best MBT outside of the Strv 122, 2A7V and 2A7HU FOTM. They are at the very least above average at everything they do which makes them quite versatile, they’re just not exceptional right now.

M1A2 SEP v2:
Kind of a disappointing addition, essentially the same as before but with reduced mobility. Should’ve been the SEP v3 instead.

Fixes:

  • Any M1 from the SEP onwards should have greatly increased turret side protection against CE threats.
  • Any M1 should have it’s turret ring converted to volumetric armour.
  • Initial M1 Abrams is possibly overperforming slightly with regards to hull armour.
  • SEP v2 should receive it’s TUSK as a togglable module.
  • IPM1 and onwards should feature improved gun shield armour.

Since apparently a 2 second video is much more convincing than a test drive bit:

//Dropbox

HESH overpressures hitting the cupola

//Dropbox

M338 overpressures on hitting the cupola and the commander’s sight

DM11 fails to pen everything, including the Abrams. except from weird angles. Realistic since it only has 37mm of pen which is less than the Abram’s and T-90M/80BVM roof armour.

Anyways, there are your videos.

-Edit-

Sigh…

I forgot Gaijin was somehow unable to copy/paste the 2A6 turret to the 2A7V and the 2A7V actually has significantly weaker turret armour.

Finally, someone actually tested on top tier tanks and yes it is more important than testing on T-90A.

Thanks.

He also complains about personal attacks yet also uses them.

Reminds me of the years it took them to fix this:

Mantlet

And by the time it was finally fixed, the meta had moved on and it faced tanks that didn’t care about it’s armour any more anyways.

well i havent seen him say anything about personal attacks so far unless you can point them to me

Leopard 2s don’t die even when they are penetrated. Now they also have additional spall liners. I don’t see how people think they are on par with any other mbt. There’s always posts about the pansir but barely any about them. Even the bvm had more discussion sparked despite being 2nd or 3rd best

Everything!

“Engine sound is too loud” I definitely 100% agree!

I was mainly making fun of that one Dr guy, I don’t remember his name but he gave some absurd take about needing the F-22 to compete with 90’s aircraft.

I will admit, the Abrams isn’t my favorite tank, nor is it the one I’m best in. For the most part I don’t really play US all that much aside from the air (tomcot my beloved). But I know that the Abrams is “technically” underperforming.

But it’s the same problem the Flanker has. Even if you give proof to Gaijn they’ll just kinda go “nuh uh uh!” and keep it all the same.

It’s really a shame that we can’t get all the modern vehicles in an accurate 1:1 representation, but that’s just kinda how gaijin is.

Gaijing logic.

I really can see how the hull armour is still 500KE in game…
