Abrams missing a sizable amount of armor in front of the Breach

They are right! The trunnion isn’t just a piece of metal it is a sophisticated piece of equipment that has hydraulic lines and a whole motherboard built into it. Measuring the barometric pressure for stabilizing the gun.

Looks like the Abrams is getting a slight buff which works as a nerf on Leopards. The horizontal drive in the dev server doesn’t take nearly as much damage as it does now. I like they made the vert drive part of the breach. If the Abrams gets shot there, you’ll have to repair the breach anyway so that’s a buff.

I can’t really tell if you are serious.

i think he is, tho repair time is longer, i hope that they add the remaining armor on the breach because i dont think theres just AIR between that and the frontal armor
and i imagine the vertical drive plate should also provide some armor protection

Those holes are threaded in order to secure that armor plate to the breach. The NEMA plates are located inside of that. There are hex bolts as shown in this photo that secure everything together on either side. Basically that whole front shield is removable in one piece. There is also armor behind that which the gun shield rests on top of. (that is the part in question I’ve been trying to get approved)

I am. Although the HZ drive is larger in the dev server, it has more health before it gets destroyed. The vertical drive is located next to the breach. If a breach shot is made, the tank is disabled anyway so there’s nothing wrong with that. Leopards are now subject to being disabled easier from LTs such as the HSTVL. I think it’s a win win for US players

There is armor there, and I’m 100% sure now.

The problem is getting gaijin to give it armor there

Yeah instead you now have to wait for both the breech and the drive to be repaired increasing your repair time. Huge win.

If I get breach shot, I’m usually in cover. If I get HZ drive shot, I’m not in cover. One is safer to repair than the other. Maybe it’s just my play style that makes me think its better this way

Peeking a ridge if you lose both the stabilizer and the breech it give an enemy more time to maneuver on you to kill you. Weather you drop back into cover or not. Will it always be the case no. But I would rather not be waiting another 10 seconds to repair a drive when I need to be in the fight.

I understand the sentiment that solong as it stops spall it is an improvement. I could agree there. But i am skeptical that is intended.
