The best vehicle in my Chinese lineup is the T-80UD/DU-1 which is a Ukrainian/Russian vehicle, I don’t know if this is pattern recognition but it might just be me (I’m being sarcastic), the T-80s are infinitely more survivable than all ZTZ variants excluding the stage 1/2 variants (I got all of China researched and unlocked as well).
I’ve got a plethora of clips of me shooting the side of the T-80 or T-90M and getting absolute sh*t on it, call me a crazy guy but why does it take extra precision to knock out Russian tanks but American tanks themselves are weakspot?
The T-80 utilizes the MZ autoloader which holds the charges vertically, it should be a nuke in-game which it simply isn’t
Look at me with a straight face and tell me the T-80 or T-90 doesn’t have more survivability than the Abrams when hit including protection, there is simply no way on earth you can as it’s a fact rather than opinion/preference.
When a Russian vehicle is the best MBT China has it sometimes makes me question the balance of Russia in-game…

That’s because of the way china designed their tank differently, and they are indeed poorer than dirt in the armor department.

It doesn’t, I can One-shot-One-kill any T-Tank, and usually kill most NATO in one, unless my rounds don’t spall or do some goofy penetration stuff then it takes two, maybe three.
So if you have good KDR’s why the hell are you complaining on the internet about things that are seemingly not an issue for you.

The spall liner in an Abrams tank is primarily composed of Kevlar, a type of aramid fiber, integrated into the composite armor itself. It’s not a separate layer but rather a component within the armor, designed to absorb and mitigate the effects of spalling
The thing you are referring to is not the same thing i’m talking about.
The only reason why it’s not there, is because its composite armor structure is classified.
Anyway, people always derive subjective emotions towards some vehicles they genuinely like, and the generation of these emotions can potentially affect your perception of certain things like M1 or leopard 2 perhaps?
And it has been over three months since Smin posted information on their detailed modules for main battle tanks on the forum on March 4th. Is it really difficult for them to add even one new MBT detailed module within three months
I think I one shot the Abrams about 70-80% of the time when I aim for the turret ring, it’s a pretty consistent 1 shot kill spot if you havbe at least 2 braincells.
At least I have never worried about how to deal with an Abrams. One clear shot to the gun barrel is enough to solve everything, but it is really possible for vehicles without detailed modules to only lose their fuel tanks after being hit
The easiest Tank to disable in Top Tier right now is the Abrams, anywhere you shoot you disable the hydraulic pump 99% of the time (30 sec of repair and it needs a fire extinguisher) and the basket which 99% of the time the shot spalls straight to the engine, so here you go “Muh The second best tank in the game”
People act as if we ask for the world instead of consistency, and that just because people think the Abrams isn’t a bad tank, that it doesn’t warrant accurate fixes.
I completely agree with you. For me, realism comes first, and if tank modules need to be added, then I hope the developers prepare them for all tanks, and in the update when everything is complete, they’ll be added for all of them, even the L3-33. I came to War Thunder after many years in WOT, and when I saw that they were going to release a game that was supposedly based on realism, I didn’t think twice and left WOT. For me what the game should be is to use tanks with everything realistic, with their advantages and disadvantages and then act in the games depending on their strengths, that’s why this shit of giving some things to some, not to others and garbage like that to make a fucking shitty balance I don’t like. I don’t care if I lose the tank 100 times and kill 300, or if I lose 100 and kill 230. What I want is for it to be as realistic as possible within a minimum balance.
Nah lets just put it more bluntly, those who refuse to add detailed models to the remaining tanks are actually just because they don’t want their toys to be weakened
@SPANISH_AVENGER Remember, all this gimmicks are the only balance factor/beside shells they gonna use in terms of mighty “balance” in this game. Whole M1 Abrams LFP armour situation was hilarious. They denied better armour basically disproving it with mere arguments( yes yes to much mass on suspension xdxdxd, then said that M829A3 would do match in terms of penetration( yes but steel tip would help in terms of defeating era) then punched us with “GTFO and take 5 sec reload on Abrams” and then finally nerfed it to the ground with addition of ridiculously bad SEP V2 and detailed damage models. Like we whined about Abrams protection and survivability but they went with this shitty reload thing. Also look what they did with A7V Leo, wrong turret armour, wrong UFP Armor, compared to 122B it should be better but it’s worse. 2 years and nothing changed. I lost hope for fairness and balance on this game.
I’d like to be hit and not get disabled by some absurd shots with a huge weakspot called the turret ring and the hydraulic pump that kills you if you do not extinguish it fast.
Obviously, they are unlikely to revert to adding detailed models to M1 or Leopard 2, so I think reducing the time for the Ace/Expert team to repair them may be more helpful. 20 seconds (even when your turret crews has reached full repair level and member count) is still quite enough for someone who has paralyzed half of your counterattack ability to kill you
