abrams is literally underpowered and i dont understand how people can say otherwise this is a 67 ton mbt and somehow in this game it gets killed by literally anything meanwhile t72 can get shot 6 times and still kill you with one russian dart from 1983
i literally watched the history channel documentary on desert storm and the abrams was basically deleting every russian tank it could see from like 3 miles away, the iraqis didnt even know what was killing them because the abrams was already shooting them before they could see it, t72s were just exploding left and right and the abrams was taking hits like nothing because american armor technology was so advanced that basically nothing on the battlefield could hurt it, they were engaging tanks at ranges where the iraqis literally couldnt even shoot back and apparently the abrams could see them through the earth or something, so obviously the abrams in war thunder should be able to kill every enemy tank from 3 miles away while being completely immune to damage because thats literally what happened irl
also the abrams should have more armor because america learned from desert storm and added better armor so obviously the m1a2 should have like 900mm effective protection and before anyone says classified no it isnt classified because i saw a picture on google
and the engine is also bullshit, 1500 horsepower turbine engine and i still cant outrun some russian tank that was designed when my grandfather was in diapers, pretty bs when america is the only country that can afford to run turbine engines cos theyre insanely good
m829a3 should also have like 900mm pen minimum because it only got better after desert storm and even the old m829a1 could lolpen everything back then so surely the a3 which cost more than russians entire gdp to develop is even better
also israel has better tanks for some reason which makes no sense because what are they even fighting most of the time, guys throwing rocks at them and stuff and somehow their tanks get all the good armor and protection while the abrams gets hit once and the whole crew decides to retire, i dont understand how this is balanced at all, if anything the abrams should get whatever magic armor israel has because apparently that stuff is made from adamantium

also reload is way too slow, i saw bideo on utube it can reload in 3 seconds. barams, the best mbt on the planet, the usa didn’t allocate $900 bil to build junks that could be penned by a 1940 tank! only in wt abrams is pepper, irl arbams has armor equivalent of the captain amerikan shield
that’s not enuf, if you go the damage model analysis you will find some part of turrent chick armor of t series is greyed out, which means the armor in that area is infinity bro so 2000mm of pen is not enuf, so no use. arbams is #1 in the world but a rusian game make it #deadlast, this clearly aims to belittle the strongest nation on the planet bro by artificially nerfing the da best mbt in the universe bro how can yall continue to accept this kind of behavior?
I understand the frustration. It is objectively missing armor if we go by reports that have been accepted by Gaijin themselves. But at the same time being able to tank a hit is the only strength the T-90/T-72 have… The reload sucks, reverse sucks, the guidance angles suck, and the round you have to use kinda sucks in the grand scheme of penetration and anti ERA ability (not that it matters much as a Russian top tier MBT). Which all lead to other weaknesses in the bigger picture.
They aren’t by any means “helpless” in ground as they have insane CAS, crazy handling speeds (if the vertical gets nerfed that’s gonna lead to it being even worse off), and great AA.
I find it important that if we have these conversations it has to be nuanced. Yes the Abrams is missing armor in WT the video game. But the T-72 family has little to no advantages over other major nations tanks. The only remedy I can think of is really a change to their reload (even if it’s ahistorical).
