It happens all the time?
Many many weapon concept and proposal get mocked up, maybe even actually built but then scrapped if there was simply not enough interest in them
Examples of this happening include SRAAM (which did actually get test fired 8 times but was scrapped)

By the logic of the KH-38MT. I.e an actual missile (KH-38ML) with a mockup of a different version, but no evidence that seeker was actually A) real or B) mounted on an actual aircraft and fired should mean that the Typhoon can be added to the game and equipped to anything that can currently carry Brimstones.

KH-38MT is a wierd weapon anyway (IRL). The ME makes sense as a ARH anti-ship missile and the ML makes sense with budy lasing from ground forces or drones, with the missile fired from long range and relative safety. But the MT? Is just a wierd seeker for such a weapon
ML is at least real, but MT should be removed from the game

They are trying to add Kh-38 to Su-30MKK…

To my knowledge they have stated as long as it is able to be equipped it will be added but who knows they are very inconsistent.

If KH-38MT is going to exist, might as well slap it onto Japan and maybe also China just to make sure that the Soviets get a proper taste of what facing them is actually like
