So lately I’ve been reading a lot about the CJ-6, I already knew about it from previous mentions but I decided to look deeply into it too see what’s up, so apparently the CJ-6B was the patrol aircraft version that was armed with both guns and bombs but finding performance information has been difficult while the available specs are from the A version the B which had small inprovements and a new engine with 300 hp is pretty unknown, and if the flight performance is unknown the armament information is even more unknown(at least in english) besides some very ambiguous mentions of “it could use 2 machineguns, rockets and bombs” but I come across this:
This article seems to specify the pylon type and the machinegun type used by the aircraft, I did see the mention of the 7.62 mg on some articles in english but none of them specified that it was a Shkas machine gun with provision for 120-180 rounds, the mentioned bombs range from 10-25kg bombs and mentions 3 of them, now I will asume maybe it will be able to carry 50 kg bombs or even 2 × 100kg bombs but who knows, my question is do you guys know anything about these claims? Any more info about that soviet type of pylon? It would be useful to have more info about this plane in order to make a more detailed suggestion
update1: I went to check for the bomb rack type that was supposedly added and I couldn’t find a specific image but I did discover that the article writes wrong the name of the bomb rack, it says BD2-48 in the article but I couldn’t find anything about it, but it turns out that is actually BD-2-48 because thats how the soviet categorized the bomb rack, now by the model one can found that is very simple bomb rack that can carry up to a 500 kg non-guided bomb, now I couldn’t find anything about rockets but I found the 5 kg HE bomb so using our imagination a 50 kg bomb is probably a down sized type 2 100 kg bomb or the fab 50 found in the IL-10
