I have to let it be known that there are people who missed it and want it back so they can get it too, which I’m not the only one judging by many of the comments on videos about it. Maybe they do listen and bring it back, I’d be grateful if they do.
Bringing it back for another japanese national day is what I was thinking and what I’m hoping for. They could do it as soon as 21st of July if they want to, that’s Japan’s Marine day this year, altough 3rd of November for Culture day I think would make more sense. Most likely if they do it will be for next year’s Foundation day. But just please let us earn it again, Gaijin!

That stuff is usually DMM exclusive and they are the ones that have final say on when and what those events are.

First, DMM will not see nor care about what you say on here.
Second, DMM stuff is only for those living in Japan. You need a DMM account tied to your war thunder account.

I also know what DMM is. The event on 11th of February for National Foundation day that made this pillow earnable wasn’t DMM exclusive, hence why I’m asking for it to be brought back.
I’m aware that linking your account to DMM without being japanese can get you banned. I’m not doing that, obviously.
Pillows have the fictional tag so 99.9% of players aren’t seeing them. If you wanted it to look funny in a match you missed your chance before they got tagged.
I want it for myself, not to show it off to anyone.
I want to place it on the back where I can see it with the other 4.
I would say it is more like amazon but with less physical merch.

Cehicles like panther 2 or tiger 105. Or more rare battlepass vehicles that havnt been atainable for almost 10 years. Its not a bad idea to sometimes bring back a chance to earn old vehicles.

Yes, and it also wouldn’t be bad at all to bring this event back.
I hope we can do it again sooner than next 11th February, but I hope that at least it’s something they’ll do for the next 11th and wasn’t just a one time thing. They could bring the event back for every February 11th Foundation day even. Even if I get it next 11th (which I’ll make sure I do), there’s still bound to be someone in the same situation as me now.

Its been two weeks since I made this post. It still irks me that I missed it and can’t stop getting frustrated over the knowledge that I missed it while I play.
Please bring that event back, Gaijin. I don’t think I’ll be at peace with myself playing this game until I get it.
DMM content in the past has sometimes (not always, but not never) came around to be available again. So i wouldnt say there’s zero chance of it. Your best chance is gonna be waiting for next year though, yeah.

I’m currently working on getting a rank 3 lineup for Japan ground in preparation for a rerun of this event, second day since I got on it and I’m starting rank 2 now. I’ll then get a rank 3 lineup for air too just in case they bring it back with a different challange. That should be enough for the best chances of completing it given that it counts mission score and not xp itself.
It would be a real shame if they don’t bring it back and I’m putting in the effort of making lineups for it for nothing and they leave something as popular and neat as this that doesn’t affect anyone except the person using it to be a one time thing that if you didn’t earn back then you just can’t anymore. Limited time availability of ingame items was always the thing I disliked most about games, because it really doesn’t feel good to be in a situation like this, especially when you didn’t even have a chance to earn it because you weren’t playing back then. But I must have hope that they will bring it back next year, hope dies last.
I finished setting up a rank 3 lineup for japan ground. I got the m24, chi-nu and na-to. I feel confident with these as I’ve been doing good with them while researching their upgrades. If I could do the event now this would be more than enough to complete it, as there wasn’t a rank multiplier for it as far as I know.
However, while grinding for this, seeing the tank without the omaneko pillow on it next to the others kept reminding me constantly that I missed it. It didn’t feel nice, it was like a pang in my chest each time from the frustration, and even if I tried not to think about it I could feel that something is missing. I don’t think I’m capable of “just getting over it” as long as I’m still playing the game, as playing the game itself brings it back to my mind. On multiple days I played less than I had time to because I just couldn’t take remembering that I missed it anymore and needed a break from knowing that. I’ll never understand why such things have to be limited time. Like, who benefits from a popular cosmetic item like this that clearly has an audience that isn’t sold for money not being available to earn permanently or at least being guaranteed to come back? It just causes frustration for those like me who want it and didn’t get the chance to earn it in the short window of time when it was available.
Like at least let us buy it. If you just had a bundle for it in the store for 9.99 or something, I’d buy it. It would be prefferable to this uncertainty about wether or not it will be earnable again.
The reason why I missed it just adds insult to injury. I created my account and first started playing at the end of this year’s spring, months after the event to earn it ended, so it wasn’t even like it was my fault for not paying attention to the news or something, it wasn’t even under my control because I wasn’t playing back then.
I’ll have patience until 11th February 2026. If it’s not brought back even then then it’s clear to me that it won’t ever be brought back, because with a year having passed all other options would be invalidated with it not having been brought back before that date and as others have said that date is when there will be the highest chance of it coming back, and at that point I’m just better off moving on from the game as a whole if there is just no way for me to get it. The knowledge that I missed it is too unpleasant, playing the game reminds me of that and I’m not a masochist, so I can’t keep going like this forever. I’m ussually not one to stop playing a game after less than year, I’m the kind that plays one or two games only for many years, but in this case I’d have to quit because my peace of mind is more important.
Anyways, I just needed to say this somewhere, and in the meantime I’ll get a rank 3 lineup for Japan air too and keep a close eye on the game news in hopes that Gaijin answers my prayers and gives us some way to get it again.
