I’ve got it at 50% iirc and haven’t had any problems that can’t be attributed to skill issue or blind spots in my RWR causing me to never see the missile. Which is also known as a skill issue
It’s been a while since NE appearance in the game, and still SPAA are OP as ever.
Are they ever going to be adjusted for a more comfortable experience? Forums are full of comments like this, why ignoring the problem?
well your first mistake there is thinking that comments here are ever looked at
Im having a terrible time just getting my damn weapons to do what they suppose to do.
Spice-250. I get within 25-30km (the range at which targeting pods can actually be used) of the [static] target and target it with the tpod and fire the spice-250. Around 80-90% of them fly straight over the target and keeping going until they eventually fall out of the sky.
Paveway IV (Using aiming points). I set 3-4 aiming points, I get the CCIP reticle over the target and I release via salvo launch. 40% of them just fly off in random directions, and the ones that do actually go for the target are almost always intercepted.
Then the RWR is just a constant noise, with missiles just appearing without any warning half the time.
SAM sites are also sometimes just invisible until you get within 10km, at which point they appear and htere is absolutely nothing you can do defend against an ITO within 10km.
I want to enjoy this gamemode, but it is just so god damn buggy that its impossible to actually play
Thank you for clarifying it on my behalf! :)
At this point, NE mode just needs to be made completely symmetrical, mixed teams. These 10 minute queue times just for a match that’s a guaranteed loss with only about 5 minutes of actual gameplay left are getting silly
And when you finally get a new match, its often filled out with a bunch of bots until more players are thrown into the already started match
I had similar problem with GBU-53, they kept missing. The best weapons to use against such tagets are GBU-39, jdams and JSOW,
As for 2S6 and ITO, you gotta fly very high, around like 10km for them to not slime you. Still annoying though
Also what graphic settings do you use? In movie graphics these SAM sites are visible even from 40km away.
Try using Aussie superhornet, superhornets are very good in NE
Near enough max. Though the issue isn’t spotting them, can see them further than even 40km personally so long as they render in. The issue is the tpods have a hard max range, definetly time for it to increase to 50-60km I think
I wish the typhoon had a long range spammable GNSS only weapon like spear-3
Yeah… Think I might need to spade it at some point.
Annoying though that because Gaijin hate the Typhoon so much we have to use an entirely different aircraft for A2G in NE
Holy moly they need to nerf the intercept rate. Just fired off 10x GBU-39s at an ammo depot and all but 2 were intercepted by the 2x 2S6s on the base
2 more matches of whatever that is supposed to be at 13.7 constantly playing top tier and i am 100% sure i will have ptsd and a tinnitus and will forever hear the rwr noise
Yeah. I cant do more than 1 or 2 matches a day at top tier with teh RWR noise.
Just hoping the new weapon coming is CBUs and that will give a bit of life into some okay, but a little lackluster ground attackers at the bottom end of the NE BRs, where the RWR noise is far more minimal
Theres nothing that comes close to having 3 s300s launch at you through terrain during takeoff…who wouldnt love that? Actual genius game design right there…
Oh you popped up and left multipath height for 5 seconds 5 minutes later to not run into invisible 2s6 that sometimes pop up 5 km from u and launch through entire forests and cant be dodged even at mach 1.2 going perpendicular to them? You fault here, have one of the 15 s300 missiles that are on your a** at all times.
Whoever came up with that gamemode for top tier: Chapeau. I raise my hat
EDIT: oh wait it even gets better: while typing this i joined a match that instantly ended before i was back in game and blew some nice boosters for it…Great. Just great. Well…at least i didnt have to play that ship. (Ship in this case means something else ;-))
also i literally never played a single round where i wasnt fully uptiered. in 5 matches. Much fun…
Was messing about with the Gripen C earlier, and the milisecond i had LOS with a SAM site after popping up behind the mountains, I was engaged by the S300s. THey really should have a 20 second delay I think, and should also be limited to engaging one target at a time, I dont understand how you have that many launch warnings if they were actually targeting only one thing at at time, instead they seem to engage every target simutaneously.
Yeah, the bones of a good gamemode exist, but as always, Gaijin have fallen well short of the target.
You get multiple launch warnings sometimes during takeoff??? now, those ofc might be launches on teammates close to you but still…i got shot down testing what happens if i dont multipath literally every single second from one of the behind airfield, not even the ones right at the frontline like 1 or 2 min after takeoff
Who came up with this ship, seriously?
Constant RWR from at least 3 directions with the occasional launch warning every 5 seconds and 2s6 popping up like 5 km from you but being almost invisible through maverick sight.
its absolutely abysmal…i cant recall playing a worse gamemode in wt, like ever. Well heli pve comes close but at least there its not constantly beeping and you wont die any second…i take boring af 0 challenging heli ec to whatever this is supposed to be? But its a hard debate whats actually worse…
Do you need to fiddle with RWR sensitivity for 2 weeks to be able to play this?
I tried dropping to 75% and I noticed no difference
i think the whole point of these is to be able to engage multiple targets at long range. But i think its rather that something needs fiddling and correction about the launch warning and how spaa seems to, again like in the first nuclear thunder, engage stuff thats behind terrain and that their radar cant actually pick up
Yeah, it does need that too.
Also the maps are just too small. Shouldnt get targtetted by those SAMs until you enter “enemy airspace” imo, with a bit of no mans land between the sides as well
Yeah like the no mans land at around top tier should be way wider to actually allow for some “dogfighting” or at least fighting without having 3 ssub 15 km missiles on you at all times. its just sensor overload. and then u get slimed by an invisible 2s6 or ito missile before you can go back to the deck because you dared to pop up in a vertical “dogfight” for about 10 seconds. just annoying.
like if i wanted to create the most annoying, most stressful environment for top tier air gameplay thats exactly what id imagine. The idea is good, execution…atm not so much. Like ok, finally u have something else to do than spam fox 3s…cool u can groundpound while having 4 fox 3s on u at all times, even during takeoff. wtf is that?
btw, how is it possible for 2 2s6 to intercept 8 jdams coming at them from 7-8 km up almost top down and shoot down all but 2? like, every single time almost none make it through. thats way above their search radar elevation. Do those crews simply have an 8th sense to feel whats above them?
And all of that while you have multiple s300 missiles coming for you that somehow, magically dont give an rwr warning.
But well, since 2s6 can also launch the occasional invisible missile nothing is exactly surprising anymore.
I would LOVE for NE to come to lower BRs without SAMs but with flak. Both so lower tier planes arent trapped in the very dated ARB system anymore and also for flak busting
