About Nuclear Escalation and the Bomber Damage Model by BVV_d

If i use an AMX DCA in ground RB, 1-2 chaff series without a notch maneuver, will de-lock the radar and continuous countermeasure dispension will make the radar unable to lock on.

Meanwhile worse or on-par radar guided, gun based spaa in Nuclear Escalation is an un-chaffable CWIS at insane distances.
And its not like you cant increase dispersion, cant make the aimbot less accurate and cant simulate the aimbot loosing lock when countermeasures are activated

is this the expected layout for the map seen in the game files?

submarines ?

Yeah, personally I have no interest in pulling nuke carriers in the mode and prefer to try to actual CAS and SEAD runs, the speed at which the match ends once a few people get nukes is really killing my interest in the mode, I far preferred the longer duration matches in the original event.
Of course that could be improved simply increasing the ticket count or reducing the ticket bleed so the mode returned to requiring the destruction on the main airfield as the primary win condition.
I was under the impression the reason that people enjoyed the mode so much when it 1st released was the longer duration matches, trying to cut them down to barley longer then a regular ARB match seems counter productive, players can always leave part way through as they get replaced and having a longer match actually means you can do something if you join part way through. Currently if you join a match where people already have nukes the match will end before you can do much.

Or adding repair of the fields, as they said in this devblog, imagine if after field destruction you could repair it and get more tickets?

The most disappointing is that just because it is “better” or “more interesting” than normal RB , because it ahs …2 objectives, people believe it’s good mode as it is.
In reality is more “in beta” than the events were.
It’s not “good”. It’s still a good IDEA. Not really a good mode.
And the nukes alone make it even worse than it could be. If you win or lose alone is based to if and how many people will pick to shut down their brain and deliver nukes to airfields.
I know , it’s free farming/spading etc. Just “meditate” while delivering nukes…you don’t need your mind there. And in some hours you have the plane with the mods you need to go play RB.
If they cut the nuke BS tomorrow with patchfix , suddenly even the difficulty with ground targets and the AI and SAMs starts to make sense… With the nukes the “difficulty” is reasonless. You need 600 pts, as long you hit that threshold put some psy/trance with Indian vibes or Tibet theme and activate your brain in the next match again!

Yeah, it’s really frustrating

And once again, was highlighted in both rounds of feedback, and promptly ignored.

They don’t want to make a good project, they ignore crucial feedback. “We won’t change the AA” so interception rates are obscene and things still appear from the aether. At this point I’m barely touching it, if I want an in depth strike simulator, I can play DCS. If I want a fun time killer, I can engage with Nuclear Option. The middle ground this sits in is butchered by the frustrating nature of it.

Oh, and don’t forget, the mode disrespects the “join battles in progress” settings. Which is infuriating. 3 minutes of queue, only to get a match that’ll end in 2. Constantly. They’ve made this effectively not worth engaging with, if you like ground attack just suck up the general RB maps until you get the long ones or play sim. Or uninstall and engage with a different offering in the genre.

You get a match that have minutes of time? I once joined the battle that ended before I loaded in.

I… literally loaded into a “battle results” window with 0% activity and 0 RP/SL rewards, lol.

I have not been that unfortunate due to the fact I’ve not touched this recently for how miserably executed this is.

Yeah, with the sheer number of test events. You’d hope they were much further along that what still feels like a early alpha

Frankly, it has just demonstrated they are either malicious, or so incompetent that it wraps back around to malice. People presented all the issues that needed to be addressed, and instead of addressing them they degraded the parts people were happy with.

So… Basically nothing new then

I don’t think is malice, because it costs them more than they gain.
We (playerbase) are the ones that believe that GJ has in mind to make the game frustrating so they can sell premiums etc.
The reality (like in every game) is very different. People can come and go anytime, so if the game breaks their bags …they can just drop it , kick it aside and if and when something good comes they can play again…
GJ has done efforts to make actual modes (with gameplay , no control methods) again in the past. And the ALWAYS failed in a way or another.
Even in the simplest things around gameplay they just fail .
They don’t even understand the basics of what makes gameplay and that’s why everything they do about gameplay fails.
They potentially try to make the mode …not farmable with all the AI BS , while the nukes alone make it mindless farming! They just don’t know how to make gameplay out of it. It’s inability, they are incapable.
And we already see the decline in the mode , the queues are crap while using the BRs of Air RB that has near instant queues…

The economic practices behind free softwares that sell means of getting around negative situations are derived solely from creating those negative situations. The frustration felt is a goal of the design, their ineptitude in executing it in a way that doesn’t make it overwhelming does not invalidate that the practice is deliberate. It could even be argued that the substandard execution is beneficial as it drives players back to systems that require significantly lower upkeep costs and thus make greater profit by cutting maintenance costs.

However, assuming they are not explicitly malicious: Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

Yes, but specifically for WT… they would get a lot more money if they had a good game . I mean …look at DCs…everything is paid and they get hell of money. Because they have quality…
If WT had quality, with this easiness of use…now they’d be trillionaires .

it would be nice, also objectives like supply convoys that will restore enemy resources if not destroyed would be really cool.

yeah, you just toss bomb from ~20km or so and the SPAAs that are sniping Mach 4+ missiles out of the air like it’s nothing just sit there and watch the subsonic nuke arc through the air for almost a full minute and land on their heads.

At this point i can’t wait for the announcement that they cancel they mode because “the participation isn’t as much as they hoped” …
There were “other modes” that had the same fate, for the same reasons.
They seem a little bit more serious with NE, but in older times they sounded just as much for those “other modes”.
And when i say i can’t wait , i don’t mean i want to… it’s just from experience , i see where it is going.

if they do that, especially now so close to GTA6 then can shut down the game… they should play their hand really good now. But again its their decision.

I was editing that mid October is the new patch in WoW and November they release WoW: Forever…
and another batch of how many good single player games to keep me busy.
I Delete the edit and i’ve seen you wrote about GTA6.
So far they make changes that got the mode from beta to pre-alpha quality.
They don’t listen to anything.
The queues already getting bigger…
