it would be hilariously bad

Maybe. What if it were added to another nation.

Yes please

The Algerian one would be cool to see as a premium for the Soviets ig

Another premium BMPT?

No, the Algerian BMPT can just be a skin and the BMP-2M with the T-55 chassis can be a premium.

What BR? 10.7?

The first collection of images is an analog to the BMPT-62 which as the name suggest is a fire support vehicle based on the T-62 in Algerian service. Given the platform and operator, Algeria, having a long story of use of russian/sovietic equipment it’s not unrealistic to see Algeria having one of its vehicles in the Soviet Union tech tree. In my opinion it’s not happening, at least not soon because people seems to not like the idea of sub-tech trees or another nations being implemented in major nations except Germany apparently; And personally would be a insult to put Algeria in the french tech tree which would be realistic but at the same time drag political backlash. But regardless would be a interesting vehicle to have nonetheless, not that would be good—It’s a T-62 with Berezhok combat module, it’s a BMP-2M without the mobility but slighly better armor which it’s just worse in the fast-paced environment the developers intended and how War Thunder’s high tier battles evolved to.

The second is, as you can tell a Ukrainian-made concept for an ground-based anti-tank and anti-air support vehicle—A BMPT for short, in this case BMPT “Strazh”. It follows the same formula of an BMPT: One or two autocannons, anti-tank missiles, based on a armored main battle tank chassis. Just like the BMPT in service in the russian armed forces, this one also has grenade launchers to support the vehicle at close ranges against fortified structures like bunkers and trenches. This one also could be in-game but unlike its russian cousin would be much less armored because little to no modification were made on the chassis, if I’m not wrong this vehicle still limited to only three crewmans like the BMPT-72. This one could be a must to have in-game but again, the elephant in the room—Ukraine still a hot topic, either Gaijin implements it independently in a standalone tech tree, under another existing nation flag or in the worst case scenario in the Soviet Union tech tree; which I doubt. But regardless, opinions aside, nice vehicle, could be in-game like the BMPT-62.

Wow

Why post the photoshopped version?

It never had 2 guns

Wouldnt really fit well in the russian tree since it doesnt have much to set it apart from the BMP-2M but I could see them putting it into the french tree lol

It wouldn’t, Algeria is “eastern” aligned since the beginning and has no french doctrine, political alignment, or equipment (aside of anecdotal stuff). USSR and China are the sole logical candidates (Yugoslavia too but they arent in the game) since they are the ones who who laid the ideological, political and military cornerstones of algeria

I love 30mm. But they must be modeled with great care, especially the interiors. I cannot have bullet-eating black holes or a lack of compartmentalization.

thats a 10.7 BMPT

nah… if it gets APDS, i dont think it would be that high, 787 maybe, but the BMPT62… nah, 10.0 max
