The MiG-19(Don’t remember which one) also does this. Yes it is realistic. It’s basically having two antennas. One for tracking and one for searching. Effectively a pseudo-TWS. Now I don’t have the A32 or the J32 (or even the MiG-19’s for that matter) but I’m pretty sure they do feature such thing as well.
