A10c should not be 11.3

While also going faster and dogfighting better than the A-10C.

The only issue i can see is the fact the 9m is smokeless. So you can’t see the launch. But if I’m on the front end of A-10 I am pre flareing.

Another issue is the current implementation is wrong they didn’t apply any of the bug fixes submitted from the test server and just sent it live. WTF were they thinking?

No they can’t, if you’re not a dumbass you’re not going to overshoot against an A-10

Would say
11.7 realistic and 12.7 Sim

It has no more advantage than the 11.3/11.7 Su25s. Yes it probably needs to be 11.7 in sim. It might even barely manage 12.0. but Aim-9Ms on a very slow platform are not going to be that game breaking. In fact out of all the features it has. The HMD IFF is what I think is going to be it’s strongest ability.

But…

“It’s a ground attacker therefore it should be unplayable in air modes because it’s meant to be used in ground modes” is just a non-starter of an argument.

Su25s and Su39s as well?

Maybe 13.0 if it had more speed?

How about 9.7

Harrier Gr7 with comparable defensive suite, much better handling and high sub sonic speeds is 12.7 (12.3 but there is no 12.3 bracket so always faces 12.7s) at the moment and extremely hard to play. Personally I think it should be 12.0.

A-10C is slower and less able to dogfight if forced to than the Gr7 but does have the colder airframe meaning it’s MAWS and flares are more effective and the in HUD IFF.

11.7 or 12.0 would be appropriate for the A-10C I think, but which Is impossible to know until we’ve had at least a week with it in game. Just because it has Aim-9M doesn’t automatically mean it has to be massively higher BR

even a week from now would be hard to know cause the A-10C is over preforming with the HMD. I don’t think we will have a real answer until they fix the slaving issue on the 9m

That is very true. Though honestly. Aim-9Ms are not all that great off-boresight. Certainly not as good as R-73s or Magic IIs are…

The biggest strength of the HMD is the IFF, which is a significantly larger advantage than anything else.

But yes, at a minimum we need to wait for things like that are fixed (If they can be) first

Turn and rate.
Visibility,
480 flare and chaff.
Etc

The biggest strength of R-73 is the HMD, without it, they’re decently better R-60s. You keep pushing this argument in several places.

I’m telling you for the last time, your skill level does not dictate how OP the enemy weapon is. Since I’ve flown quite a lot of aircraft, and had buddies do the same, they told me “flying anything with an Aim-9m is so easy to spade, because they seem to never miss, and cannot be seen”

I had one buddy that completely stopped playing anything Russian, and granted he flew both the German and Russian MiG and like them.
He isn’t a the worlds best player, but as is right now, he sits with just shy of a 14.2 k/d in his F-16C. He said the “aim-9ms were completely broken and it was unfair for the enemy team”

Also, the Su-25T and Su-39 have never been 11.3, they’ve always been 11.7

Su-25BM is 11.3 with R-73s.

Before decompress they were all 11.3 except the Su25BM which was 11.0.

So you are saying Soviet should have gotten IRCCM missiles and NATO shouldn’t have? Or that they should nerf Aim-9M even more so that R-73 is better in every respect?

No. lol the Su25BM was not 11.0, it’s 11.3 I WISH it was 11.0 having that terrible targeting pod makes me want to vomit.

In Sim, there should somehow be a bit of a nerf to a smokeless aam, imagine of the USSR had that, you USA mains would makes thousands of posts saying how OP it is.

And no, the a-10c should just become 12.0, or lose its 4 aim-9ms, it can become 11.7 with only 2 aim-9m.

Keep in mind the Su-24M literally gets R-60s stock. Not R-60ms, nor R-73s, and these two are THE SAME BR (11.3)

Pretty much nobody is agreeing with you.

The biggest problem with the 9Ms is that they’re invisible. They should never have been added completely smokeless, they should have been added with half smoke instead.

As it is, the 10C completely deserves to be 12.0 or 12.3. The low speed is less of an issue than people are making it out to be, and the amount of ordnance - in particular guided ordnance - that it can carry is extreme. It does not need to be, nor should it be, competitve in A2A engagments.

on my way to preflare the Aim-9M with my 12 pops of flares (or even less on some planes)

11.3 in ARB, missed it was higher in sim.

I don’t need to imagine what fighting soviets with an OP aam is like. I had to fight Mig-29s with R-27ER in the tornado F3 for an entire year. Those things should never have been added.

Aim-9Ms are only good in certain situations, but outside of those situations R-73s are a LOT stronger. I hate fighting Su-25s in the sea harrier because flares do absolutely nothing with the harrier heat sig.

A-10C with aim-9Ls is 10.7. it might need to be 12.0 but the argument “Aim-9M OP must nerf” is just a non-starter. Especially being week 1.

Su-24M is perfectly balanced with 4x R-60M in an aircraft that has twice the speed of the A-10 at 11.3. it does not need R-73s. If it gets them, then it should join the 11.7 Tornados that need Aim-9Li or be dropped to 11.3

Multiple people have agreed with me that they should start with 11.7 (so equal to the Su25s) and then wait and see if it needs to go up further. The A-10C has multiple bug reports outstanding like the fact it’s HMD shouldn’t slave Aim-9. Until it’s more finished BR discussions are fairly pointless.

Also considering the fact I think the Harrier Gr7 should be 12.0 and is notably better than the A-10, then I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the A-10 to be lower than the Gr7

12.3 (which means 12.7 in sim at the moment) would make it totally unplayable. It might not need to be competitive in A2A. But it should be playable in sim

It’s not “might”. With the buff they gave to both the Sedjil and the Fakour this update, the plane has no business being any lower than a Mig29G.

The Fakour is currently faster by the R27ER at most range, and not by a bit, and with greatly improved agility that doesn’t allow to simply kinematically defeat it. I’d suggest to watch Jaek latest video on it.
