A Swiss sub-tree for Germany is not the right choice

Germany had basically no options for that as all the possibilities were locked behind events the biggest most obvious was pak puma 🤷‍♀️ there’s the kurz but it likely wouldn’t be very good. I also forgot Germany could get both pt76A and pt76B what could be quite good for rank 3 mid tier

The “Pakwagen” was no rare prototype nor experimental unit. They had like 100 operating in that /4 configuration. Never understood why its not aviable as ordinary TT unit. My only idea is that Germany is not supposed to achieve map control to keep its WR down.

It was extremely that a rare field mod due to need and speedy retreat

No we don’t.

ADATS is a Swiss product, but never fielded in Switzerland, nor any Crotale variant.

Basically the whole discussion here is pointless: Swiss air was introduced as sub-tree to Germany, so that’s a fixed thing already, and I doubt the would add a Swiss ground tree to any other nation now.

So be happy we get Swiss vehicles at all, no matter where.

I know I am - but then I AM actually Swiss and biased in this regard…

It was tested and mounted on the shark 🤷‍♀️
And the crotale NG similar just with the 10x10 piranha iirc

Both failed to be exported so they would go to Switzerland the manufacturer.

I mean its the war thunder community they’ll cope over everything… I mean look at my name :3

I was hoping for the MAN mounted Pantsir. Since the Marder and AMBT with french turrets and german designed underbody also got added. This one would be the same reasoning and would have fixed the endless suffering of German teams @ top tier. Right now whenever an AH64, Mi28 or Z10 spawns, they quickly rack up around 10 kills, breaking the team without anything you could do. While vice verca any German heli gets shot out of the sky even with free russian SPAAs. Russian teams are always stacked with saclos SPAAs, you simply can’t use any chopper.

Cope.

for me, that single and consistent criteria would be : “if it doesn’t have its own tree, which tech-tree is each vehicle most closely related to?”
for the Shark RH105, Leopard 2NL or Gepard B2LV ; that’s “germany”.
for the Shark FL-20, AMX PRA or Mirage MirSIP ; that’s “france”.
because i hold both subtrees to this same standard…

…same for the rest of the game, although some parts are much less problematic (e.g. south african ground), or some are too complicated to handle without a rework of WT’s “tech-tree” and “lineup” systems. (e.g. you can’t have an impromptu FDR vs DDR match-up without special events or a custom battle, they’re always on the same team by design), though, i do think WT would benefit from such a rework.

i’m probably much too fed up with gaijin’s current mishandling of the subtrees to budge on this issue,
and certainly too much to sit idly by while gaijin makes the same mistakes again and again.
i doubt the others here can or will budge either (some of would be better off making actual arguements instead of insults though), i’ll try not to take much more space here either. (no promises)

There’s no issue. There never was a issue. You make it a issue because again you don’t like Germany and think stupidly everything with a french turret would be french. Even if the french themselves hated it

there is. we’re here because there is.

i already told you that i didn’t, but if that’s the lie that’ll let you sleep tonight, i can’t stop you, so go ahead.

we call a “french turret” a “french turret” because it is “french”, did you even read what you typed?

Even if the french themselves hated it

they don’t though, not now, not even back then, unless you have a direct quote from army trials detailing how much they “hated” it.

Well germany is a current European military powerhouse, unlike certain one long time wannabe. He’s throwing a tantrum.
I wonder if their logic warrants abrams in a german tech tree, since you know, rheinmetall gun, even licensed, still a rheinmetall gun, right?
