A Swiss sub-tree for Germany is not the right choice

Given that I have spent a few hours looking through 1930s to 1940s era Swiss tanks alone I have seen quite a few tanks that would fit from 1.0 to 5.3 alone. Not to mention all the MOWAG creations (There honestly have to be close to a hundred or more.) Now that I’ve seen the leak lists saying that Germany will be getting a Swiss sub-tree I aim to make that not the case as, again, the Swiss have more than enough tanks and planes to make their own tech tree. A nation like Germany does not need more planes or tanks. They have pleanty of their own jets and tanks to fill their ranks that are not in the game yet. What would be the lowest BR tank I found for the Swiss would be in the T-26 (1931). |447px;x376px;
Sure the Swiss did use some tanks like the Panzer IVs |468px;x360px;|522px;x348px; Panzer 38(t)s |451px;x310px;and a slightly modified Jagdpanzer 38(t) under the name of the G-13 |558px;x305px;but then they made a version with the French SA50 gun under the name of the G-13 7.5 cm Pak.51. |533px;x308px; Or the Panzer 39, also known as Panzer 38(t) Ausf. G |544px;x362px; being a slight upgrade of the regular 38t. They also made a version of the Panzer 39 called the Panzer 39 Mod. 1941 with a larger turret and a 47mm gun. |432px;x307px; There is a TD know as the Nahkampfkanone I (NK I) which was also based on the 38(t) chassis but had either a 75mm or a 105mm. |497px;x336px; There is the Nahkampfkanone II (NK II)(Pz 44).
|511px;x341px; which I’m sure quite a few people have seen.
They aquired a number of Panzerjäger 35Rs. After France fell to the Germans. |535px;x401px; They also have a T17E1 at their out door museam but I could not find much info on them operatating it, only that they did. They also had an upgrade program alled Radpanzer Staghound mit Versuchswaffen (“with trial gun”) in which it had it’s hull MG switch out for a Swiss one and it’s 37mm for a Hispano-Suiza HS.820 20×139 mm. |720px;x540px;
I have not read much into the Air side but I know they had some captured Allied planes, 109s (Ds to Gs), EKW C-36, one captured Do 217 N-2, three Mosquitos, and M.S.450s. There are likely more. The Swiss operated their own tanks like the Panzer 58, 61, 68s as the main ones. They also have an upgrade of the Panzer 68 similar to the M48 Super was over the M48A2C G A2. I’m not sure whether no make a vote on whether the Swiss should be added to Germany or not seeing as polls are moderated more than regular posts so people don’t vote on random things. Please let me know what you think in the comments and if I should make a vote or not.

Yeah. I am a german main, and i am afraid that the swiss subtree will fill out the german tree so much that they won’t add cool (actual german) WWII vehicles that are still missing, anymore. I rather have the swiss tree for nations that have a skinny tech tree, and rather give the germans things like our long awaited StuG IV, and rather make a Howitzer line with Wespe, Heuschrecke, Grille and Hummel, and even Geschützwagen Tiger. Some Sturmpanzers are aswell missing. Marder I is missing. Panzer I is missing. Panzerselbstfahrlafette IVb is missing.
A ton of cool half-tracked vehicles are missing.

This is a good addition to augment all German vehicles.

benelux is turned into a subtree

And arguably would have made a better standalone then swiss one

Honestly, if they’re adamant about making a Swiss Sub Tree for Germany, then I can only hope they do add in some of the lower BR stuff, as well as the other neat prototypes Switzerland has. As for higher-tier stuff, I for one, would love to finally get my hands on the Panzer 58 and Panzer 68 and the various prototypes based on them. Ditto with the various Swiss Light Tank Projects and their SPAAs

Also MOWAG Shark line please and thank you

I think BeNeLux should have been it’s own tree as well. I’m not a fan of putting Sub-nations into major trees that already have very flushed out ranks and all the while the sub-trees having their own okay sized force.

I feel like they could definately make a separate tree given they made an Israeli tree that starts at Rank IV and this one would have Rank I tanks and planes. I feel like they are becoming more lazy with adding nations in. I think it would be entirely acceptable if they were to say “We do have a Swiss tree lined up in some format but given the evidence for them have an actually considerably sized catalog of vehicles we could implement into a comepleted Swiss tree we have decided to develop the tree into a complete nation and not add it to Germany as a subtree to give a more complete experence of the Swiss nation in our game.”

The problem with most sub trees is that Gaijin aren’t adding new and indigenous designs but are instead just copy and pasting existing vehicles and just changing the skin and slightly changing the name

Yes. Switzerland can supply a 2 branch tree for both ground and air forces. Just like netherlands, which can do it for air and naval

They could even add switzerland as its own nation and pair it with Be/Ne/Lux. Then they could fill out 4 tree rows easily, and dont have to clutter germany with a 6th line, maybe evem depriving them of future native german ww2 vehicles.

German ground tree is already a mess, it should be

  • an armored cars & half tracks line,
  • 2 tank lines for light medium and heavy tanks,
  • 1 line for anti air vehicles
  • 1 line for assault guns (Sturmgeschütz & Sturmpanzer) and tank destroyers (Jagdpanzer)
  • 1 line for self propelled guns (Panzerjäger) and self propelled artillery (currently conpletely missing).

They kinda had this format earlier but messed it up. Also they should folder vehicles in a way it makes sense, and generally folder more vehicles.
