A relaxed strategy to grind the battlepass

I have been grinding nearly every battle pass since season one, some of them up to completion to sell vehicles. But this is not the topic. This post is about a strategy to get all the good stuff for yourself with only limited efford. Which basically means that you have to get to level 80.

Here is the plan:
You log in every day. That gives you 25 levels straight.

You buy the enhanced pass. 500GE is less than an hour of work for most people who can afford internet and hardware. No way you can grind 15 levels in under an hour (15 levels = 50 x t3-tasks). So you get to level 40.

You do the T2 task every day (and keep count). Change it with silver to your liking. Usually, the T2 task can be switched so that it is a “one mission” task. Switch it, if you have to. Don’t keep the switch options for later. 90 T2 tasks will give you 18 further levels. So you will reach level 58. If you manage to complete sufficient numbers of challenges, you can stop doing the T2s (see further below).

Depending on your store goals, you will need 15 or 20 special tasks to open the talismans or premium vehicles. Which means that you need to farm this number of T3 tasks and also this number of specials.
If you only aim for the premium vehicles, reaching 15 such special tasks will deliver another 12 pass levels. Which will place you at 70. If you want the medium talismans, you need 20 specials for 15 levels.

Check the pass calender early for challenges that you can do. You should find about 4 challenges that are easy to do or can be combined with other assignments. Another 12 levels bring you to 82. Every extra challenge you manage will spare you from 15 T2 tasks.

You have farmed the pass!

This strategy is based on my observation that t3 tasks are less convenient to farm then the special tasks. Special tasks have several advantages:

  1. You can farm them parallel to T2 or challenges or just your regular gameplay.
  2. You are under no time constraint. You can allow on average 4-6 days per special.
  3. Switching them generates way more options, as all game modes offer new choices.
  4. You can switch them daily, starting at 1000SL again. Until you get something nice.

If you are confident to get 7 challenges done, you can just run 20 T2/T3/Specials to open the shop and be done:
login: 25 lvls
getting 20 Specials: 20 lvls
enhanced pass: 15 lvls
7 challenges: 21 lvls

Since I have replaced T3 income with special tasks, I find the pass way more relaxed and easy going. I stop looking at T3 tasks altogether, when I have the required 20 of them (I want the medium talismans).
Give it a try!

Id say that theres really no reason to NOT do the easier battlepass challenges, as they are most of the time free 3 levels of battlepass for completing things you would complete anyway if you played normally and only difference to special task is the 20 day window to complete said challenge.

Like the first challenge, “Schiavonnas strike” - you have 20 days or so to kill 250 players. Thats only 12,5 or so killed players a day.

Or “Tenacity of the Bersaglieri”, 20 days to play 75 games where you destroy at least one target. Thats whopping 3.75 games a day.

If I will count only the task that Id personally complete passively without any changes to my playstyle, thats 11 challenges, and thats 33 additional BP levels.

If you are active player, these challenges will complete themselves with regular gameplay and as such they shouldnt be ignored in your calculations of “lowest minimal effort to complete the battlepass”.

My issue with battlepass challenges is when they either force me to go play mode im not interested in (naval, but i assume some naval players arent similiarly disinterested in, say, ground battles) or challenges that are hyperspecific about what you need to complete.

Like, “get 30x mission maker medals while doing backflips with one hand tied behind your back and balancing egg on your forehead while having your left nut submerged in KFC deep fryer”. Sure, whats the reward for such ridiculous display of discipline and 4D chess level of gameplay? 3 whole BP levels you say?

I have no issues with them, I just ignore them (like the rocket challenge). I only need 4 (have 6).

No, that one wasn’t as easy as you made it sound, because you needed 70% activity as well. And not every game mode will hand that to you on a silver tablet. Depending on what you play, you may not even qualify (bombers). Or you may not get a kill (battleships). That was not an “automatic” challenge for the casual player.

while fair, merely 70% of activity isnt that high of a standard, is it?

aight, fair.

Problem comes down to game modes and preferred rank.

WW2/prop tier air simulator battles are massively shafted when it comes to grinding battlepass.

A few BPs earlier, we had a “kill NPCs in planes x 100” as a challenge. Doable in RB. Doable in AB. Not doable in SB despite being pretty hard to do consistently in a propeller-powered fighter without guided weapons and relatively low power guns aimed with a shaky gunsight.

Nope. Can’t do it. Go play RB/AB.

Alternatively the numbers are… not realistic.

T3 tasks often require getting some 10-12 kills/day AFTER doing the T2 task. Now, 10-12 kills in prop tier ASB comes out somewhere like 80-90 minutes of investment. Kind of excessive, especially since you first need to do the T2 task and sim matches last a long time so even if T2 is easily done (not always in SB - assists are a nightmare) - you likely don’t have time to do the T3 in a weekday.

Meanwhile jets are absurd where it’s “take off, throw missile across map, get kill, land less than a few minutes later.”

fair.

since im apparently not up to my zoomer lingo, I assume T3 refers to battlepass challenges.

sounds like issue that could be rectified in similiar way to wagers - SIM could just get some sort of multiplier to level the playing field. Same with naval, i guess.

however not the point I was going for.

Sure, BP challenges might be mode and rank dependent, and thats issue worth noting, but BP challenges are doable, and can contribute significant amount of levels towards the BP, and as such, if player finds themselves capable of doing them, they absolutely should be included in calculations for “lowest minimal effort”.

As T2 tasks were projected for 90 days, you can cut them short once you have reached your goals through challenges. This requires no advanced planning. Everything else is already at minimum. If you have 2 more challenges done, you can cut 30 t2 tasks. (I can edit that in above to make it clearer).

My main point is, that T3 tasks are the sekrit chore, which should be avoided as far as possible. So I only do a T3 if I have to for a special task. And no more. Ultimately, specials are easier to handle and way more flexible - although it doesn’t seem like that at first.

If you reduce dailys to the extreme, it is:
login: 25 lvls
getting 20 specials: 20 lvls
enhanced pass: 15 lvls

Remaining gap: 20 lvls
20 lvls is 7 challenges.
So if you can get at least those 7 challenges, 500GE, daily login and 20 specials will give you the good stuff, including rank 4 talisman or premium shop vehicle.

I guess that was your point?
