I think someone just REALLY does not want CAS to have anything but the slightest chance of getting kills.
I’m not opposed to leaving the Strela where it is. I think it would destroy most CAS at that B.R. pretty easily, but that’s okay. The problem, again, as I’ve stated numerous times, is that it’s the only SPAA that can do it effectively at that B.R.

Nope, just want an even playing field. Gaijin isn’t going to spontaneously fix the SPAA for everyone else, so the temporary solution in the short term is to move the Strela up. When other nations have comparable capabilities then it can be moved back down.

Oh sorry, I have missed the 4:06 shoot made from 8.1 km away killing another target! Sadly don’t know the distance of 5:41 shoot, but probably was close to 8 km too :D

I liked the part where the second A-10 spawned in and predictably flew straight to the battlefield to get slapped out the sky by the SANTAL who in turn could do nothing to you because you were not flying within his engagement range.

What’s even worse that was a lock on a moving target from ~8km with a missile perfectly following the target and making a kill, all the while being almost untouchable by AA.

But I’m sure Strela would shit on you from 6-7-8km away, it’s after all a 11.0 SPAA according to some people intoxicated by IRL hatred and bias.
Most aircraft at that BR with guided ammo are simply dirty.
I would argue that the skill issue is the strela player sitting in the open to allow this, only a few planes use agtm in the first place but i always hide behind cover until i see a plane.

No, the skill issue is with the morons that have the advantage of being able to fire unmolested outside of the enemy SPAAs range yet willingly choose to fly into range for absolutely no reason, get shot down and then complain about OP SPAA.

We’re talking about the fact that an optimally played strela at 10.0 is going to do nothing to a somewhat competent A-10 (10.0) or aircraft with similar or greater capability so calling the strela OP is a stretch.

Clear skies, good contrast, literally no buildings or cover, a full-time spotter, and no enemy players smart enough to fly planes. Not sure you proved what you think you proved, but I’ll grant you that the A-10 can perform well under those circumstances.

So far I only seen like a few, probably less than 5 players use the A-10 in this manner out of the hundreds of games I had. Only once one of them remained 10km+ but didn’t score a single kill with it cuz he knew the a Type 81 C was up, which was me, and kept a 10km distance from me. I fired twice but no kill as he flew away. I waisted his time and I continued killing other jets as i kept an eye on him. Other games on Type 93, well I couldn’t do much to it and needed a jet to reach that thing but this was waaay before they fixed the Type 93s locking bug/adding photo-contrast. Even now i still have yet to see another player do this. Most just fly over the battlefield just to get shut down.
