I have done 8 km kills with A-10

Yes, but the time it takes to acquire the target, get a lock, fire, and get out of range means that stand-off ordinance isn’t as effective as you’re making it out to be on the A-10 platform. A lot of the time targets don’t even render in until you are just outside of the Strela’s range, and you aren’t even guaranteed a kill, even if you manage to hit the target. No one seriously complains about the A-10’s capabilities. Strela on the other hand has been controversial for a while.
Also, if A-10 can reposition, so can the Strela. There is way more cover for SPAA than there is for CAS.
I know you can use ATGMs from 8km in the A-10, I’ve fought a handful of smart A-10 pilots in the stormer who were flying outside of my reach and smacking people with ATGMs on the battlefield.

Because I don’t take WT seriously. I’m just saying that you clearly play better in SPAA than other vehicles. Don’t take it personally/get upset about it.
Test flight doesn’t count.

I’ve been playing a lot of 10.3, and it’s nuts how much I see it dominating the sky. It basically means whoever faces Russia has a no-fly-zone enforced on them, whilst they are free to destroy us in Su25s, which my LAV can “sometimes” kill, and the Stormer just teleports through. It’s biased as hell to give one side such a powerful SPAA at that BR. It’s STILL lower than the Stormer, and you can’t even use the stormer at the moment.

Will not be missed, it was a greatly deserved “nerf” or just overall BR change. Oh, By the way, the Strela on the BRDM-2 is coming next update, and BR is gonna be higher b/c of mobility, yet lower because of only 4 launches, and no radar locking, so a new “meta” SPAA that’s probably just as good as the current one will be even lower.

I fail to see how most CAS/heli pilots being comatose and flying into range of the strela when they can simply choose not to is the fault of the strela.
Other SPAA being broken and in a garbage state is not an excuse to raise the BR of other SPAA. The broken/garbage SPAA should be fixed or lowered in tier to the point that they are capable of effectively engaging a player of equal skill on the opposing side.

This literally ends the discussion. No other nation has anything like the Strela. The missiles are top notch. Meanwhile I can’t even get a lock on most planes with the stinger even if they’re flying right in front of me, and they get flared super easily.

Because gaijin thinks that the Stingers are far worse than their superiority overengineered Igla and other versions of their MANPADS and SAMS.

This is more so a complaint about the unacceptable state of stingers.
But gaijin have made it clear that they refuse to buff them so that’s that I guess.

Like I said, you don’t really play cas or helis much, so I don’t know why you think it’s so easy to be effective outside 5km at 10.0. Despite what you and ULQ say, seeing anything with 65Bs at 5km is difficult enough, nevermind to get an actual good lock. Nevermind in an A-10 which is basically a sitting duck for any anti-air. What other CAS at 10.0 has 5km range?

Like you said I have significant experience in SPAA and fighting CAS/helis so I am more than qualified to point out the factual statement that something like an A-10 can engage and lob ATGMs safely from stand-off range and be untouchable by any SPAA at 10.0.
I know this fact seems to hurt your feelings but I don’t really care.
