A list of collimator/reflector sights in the game files, appearance, and filenames

This is mostly for my own future reference, but someone might find this useful.

Note: sizes may and will vary, some of these are quite small and others are very big, the images I post are NOT TO SCALE. I recommend trying them out in a test flight before using them in a real match, lest you be stuck without a functional gunsight.
By making a copy of these sights by searching the file name and using them as a “user skin”, you can also change their color.

I also can’t guarantee this is an exhaustive list, but if you find any missing ones I will add them to the list.

Addendum on gunsight customization

For most planes, you just need to do something like this to replace the gunsight with one you want. Here on an F-5A:

Others will be more challenging. The MiG-19S for example has two gunsight textures, one that moves around - the gyro sight “asp_5n_collimator”, and one that is fixed in place but is invisible because it is using “_empty_collimator”. This isn’t obvious at first and in some cases you might have to look in AssetViewer for the cockpit model to find the right textures to change.

If you want to get rid of that stupid useless gyro sight, you do it like so:

Order matters because if you replace the gyro sight texture with the empty one first, and THEN replace the fixed empty sight with the gunsight you want, you get this effect:

With two sights, one moving and one fixed in place. This is because there were two “_empty_collimator” textures in the cockpit model and then they were both replaced by the “thales_t100_collimator” that I decided to use.

Planes with a HUD (anything that changes what the reticle looks like) cannot be customized. At least not right now or I don’t know how to.
