Sweden didn’t join the axis, Thailand did (well, the east asian co-prosperity sphere alliance) and invaded Burma, Malay and parts of India
If you look more into their history they did the same thing Sweden did. The only exception is participation in their conflicts and of course in some with Japan directly. However just like Sweden or Switzerland who secretly did assist the allies. Aka they were playing both sides to their benefit. You mentioned only the Majors, not the minors->Which are often forgotten.
It’s perfectly fair, especially since China is the size of Germany.

What in Japan’s tech tree has any of the equipment that is being added? Oh wait, it’s not.
Every vehicle in the Thai sub-tree is unique TO Japan’s tech tree.
And 3 are confirmed unique to the game as a whole.

I like having a BR that is safe from the top end. You might like facing F-15s, Typhoons, etc all the time with 12.7, but I do not.
F-16A MLU is one of the best 12.7s in the game, and it doesn’t need to turn into a meh 13.7 just cause people don’t like the superior Mirage 2000 and superior J-10A.
F-16AJ [YF-16 Japan Demostrator] is a real aircraft and its current loadout is the only loadout options that YF-16 had available to it, there are actual photos of it flying in Japan.

While JASDF F-16 only can seen in some anime which are created before developing F-2(Patlabor 2 the movie is an example)
Meanwhile, Some nations used F-16 WITH AIM-120 in real life but failed to grab AMRAAM thanks to Gaijin’s disregard. :/
I understand that Japan has much pain about the CAS arsenal, so a new sub-tree might be great for them
But still, ignoring the nations who used F-16 with AMRAAM IRL while Japan gets another F-16 feels quite disappointing IMO.

I do dislike having Sweden around in ww2 era sim tbf on Allied side.
Junkers bombers. You see one from afar, you fly in to intercept and ready to pull the trigger since you’ve learned how to ID a german bomber and… it’s swedish. It’s a friend.
So now you gotta be careful approaching all junkers aircraft you see which means you’ll have a increasingly delayed reaction compared to the tail gunners in IFF and get shot at before you can safely open fire without fear of teamkill.
Then you have the inverse where sweden is flying for axis and there’s mustangs shooting at your own mustang leaving you very confused.
Just want to ask, if we do unlock Rank 8 before the Thai Aircrafts arrive, would it still be unlocked?

If you get to rank VIII now with one rank VII aircraft purchased, while the requirement is only one rank VII aircraft (either the F-4EJ or the F-4EJ ADTW is enough) and they add another rank VII in the update and increase the unlock requirement to 2 purchased rank VIIs, it will be locked again.
Maybe in a few years Japan can get an actual real Japanese plane, like the Mitsubishi F-2! Any bets on how much longer it will take?

Thailand declared war on French Indochina, which was under Vichy France authority. Which is ironic, because Vichy was allied to the 3rd Reich.
France won the last naval battle of its history against Thailand (Battle of Ko Chang).
This defeat led Japan to pressure Thailand in order to avoid escalation. As a conequence, Japanese influence in the region expanded.

I get the issue with Copy Paste Aircraft being undesirable for the game, but this is in all honesty not the place for that right now, Japan has a SERIOUS defficiency of aircraft at higher tiers and this is pretty much only fixable by a sub-tree, as the only 2 aircraft yet to be added for japan are the F-2 (Their LAST indigenous fighter if you can call it that) and the F-35.
The F-2 is surely being held a little longer and the 35 is a ways off
As For unique Aircraft From Thailand (Seeing as your ignoring their modifications of previously existing aircraft), there are a couple of Very early props that could be added, but Japan isnt exactly in short supply of Low tier props
