Poland’s National Independence Day is celebrated on November 11th, which is the anniversary of the end of the First World War. As a result, Poland was able to regain its independence. This date was officially established as a national holiday in 1937, but in those years Poland only managed to celebrate Independence Day twice. In 1989, the celebration of November 11th was restored.

Lanovski’s P-47M-1-RE Thunderbolt is temporarily available for purchase and has a 30% discount for 4,263 Golden Eagles!

About this aircraft

  • Witold Lanovski was a Polish pilot who fled to Great Britain after the fall of his homeland. He served in the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain and later in the US Air Force, where he flew the P-47 Thunderbolt. In War Thunder, Lanovski’s P-47M-1-RE is a fast fighter with eight 12.7 mm Browning machine guns, capable of carrying up to two tons of bombs!

Open the “Poland’s National Independence Day” trophy!

When: From November 11th (11:00 GMT) until November 14th (11:00 GMT).

Task: Earn 3,000 mission points in battles where you used US or British vehicles at rank III or higher to receive the “Poland’s National Independence Day” trophy!

Inside this trophy, you’ll receive one of five decals that were previously available on this day:

“Polish Hussar Helmet” decal

“Polish cockade” decal

“Attacking Eagle” decal

“Polish Phoenix” decal

“Kotwica” decal

If you already have all five decals, you’ll receive a trophy and get one of the following when opening it:

  • 20-50% Research Point booster for 3-10 battles
  • 20-50% Silver Lion booster for 3-10 battles
  • 3-5 universal backups
  • 1 day of Premium account

Please note: After finishing the task, you need to collect the reward manually.

From my pov potential buyers might consider that they will run into lobbies filled with the new “Dreams come true” event aircraft at the same BR. This means that a large chunk of their team will be borderline useless as the skill ceiling to use the Flying Pancake is rather high as a lot of vids by famous ccs including DEFYN confirm.

So buying it as a collector makes sense, otherwise i would wait to use it until the current event plane hype is over.

For gaijin i would recommend to think about the introduction of the D-5 as event plane. I was not aware of that Robert S. Johnson had a very special D-5 pushed to have 2.700 hp - that might be a way more effective premium plane at a much lower BR.

What does this mean? Like, it will be removed, but returns as usual for Polish holidays? It will be removed from being on 30% sale? Or, actually, completely removed and won’t return in the future?

This statement usually does not appear on temporarily returning vehicles (e.g. the recent He 219, P40, UH-1 etc. promotions don’t have that statement).
