About this boat
- The Fairmile D (5001) (rank III) is a Fairmile D-class torpedo boat, commissioned in late 1944 and sunk during combat in the North Sea in April 1945. Its wooden hull makes it vulnerable, yet light and agile. Its wide range of armament, including 57 mm main guns and 20 mm autocannons, 12.7 mm and 7.7 mm anti-aircraft machine guns, turns the Fairmile D (5001) into a serious threat against a variety of coastal opponents.
