So that modification should change those things, and maybe when you have it on it’s changed the BR upwards, idk this is the most reasonable thing I can think off due to this being one of the only planes with a modification like this

That depends on BR brackets. The Flogger can and does face F-4S/J and whatever british equivalent, and depending on the nation preset it can face Viggen Cs, Ds and Mirage F1s.

Those are 12.0 aircraft

For both the 11.3 and 11.7 brackets, they are uncontested. For the one bracket they face 12.0, then yes, they are actually countered.

But that goes the other way. Those 12.0s are facing mig29s and AMRAAM slinging F4Fs 3/4 of the time and only facing Mig23MLD 1/4 of the time

Ok. Doesn’t change the fact that your “the F4E is the best they face” statement is wrong.

Edit: also, the Viggen C is 11.3 and it is just plain better than the Flogger.

In a 10.3-11.3 match or 10.7-11.7 match. The absolute best fighters Bluefor can bring to bare are the Phantom FGR2, F-4E or F-5E.

Viggen C is good, but can also appear on the same team as the Mig-23 so no gurantee of success, just pick a lobby where soviets are paired with Sweden if you consider it such a threat. But Viggen C is armed with rear aspect only IR Missiles and is slower than the Mig-23. So just run away. In a turn fight, id guess the Viggen has the advantage but not overwhelming so.

Mig-23MLD has 4x All-aspect IR missiles (one of very few aircraft at that BR that does and most are sub-sonics like the Sea Harrier) and 2x R-24Rs which are the best SARH missile at that bracket by far.

So Mig-23MLD vs F-4E, F-5E and FGR2 is still a pretty one sided fight. If you are choosing to take the Su-24 into 12.0 matches, then that is on you, of course in a full uptier any aircraft would struggle.

The fact the Mig-23MLD has a lower BR than the Tornado IDS is just insane to me personally. Should never have gone down in BR. Should have stayed where it belonged at 11.7.
