As a longtime War Thunder player focused on Swedish ground forces, I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with the neglect of Sweden’s SPAA lineup. Despite numerous reports and community discussions, key issues remain ignored, and since War Thunder is the only game with a proper Swedish tech tree, there are no real alternatives.
Major Issues:
- Incorrectly Modeled Weapons:
- Lvakan 48 (Lvkv 42 & VEAK 40) is completely wrong—modeled with L/60 ammo instead of its real 1,000+ m/s rounds, making it far less effective.
- 8mm MGs (Ksp m/39 & Ksp m/36) had 20mm-pen AP rounds, but these were removed with no explanation, despite reports to restore them.
- The VEAK 40 Nerf:
- Its HE-VT shells were removed after a bug report, even though this was the only thing keeping it viable. Meanwhile, the Lvakan 48 issue remains unfixed for years.
These problems make playing Sweden’s SPAA painful, and with no alternatives outside of War Thunder, I feel stuck with a tech tree that’s misrepresented and neglected. Despite multiple forum posts, bug reports, and discussions, Gaijin seems more willing to nerf an already weak vehicle than to fix long-standing issues.
Sweden deserves proper SPAA and historically accurate modeling when or will Gaijin ever listen?!!

How about an update solely focused on lower ranks of the game instead? Prototype props and tanks, interesting WW2/early CW vehicles, screw that, they can even mix in a bunch of premiums so they still get some profit out if it.
Lower BRs are so incredibly neglected in this game. All we get is 1 or 2 interesting vehicles from time to time like T1E1 90, 1 vehicle that is copypasted to nearly every single nation for no reason like M44 or M109 or a bunch of copypaste slop in those “very original” subtrees.
It would be nice to have 1 single major update that would focus on adding all missing variations of lower BR vehicles like StuG IV, Pz 2J, Pz 2L, KV-1 with 122mm howitzer etc, a few interesting prototypes and replace some of the unncessary copypastes like aforementioned M44s.
