A-10 loss of flight control from one elevator damaged

Hello all,

This is more of a “bringing up an issue that’s been known for further push from the community” rather than a constructive post, but we are going on over TWO YEARS of this being a known bug by Gaijin and there’s still hasn’t been a fix for this. The bug is as follows: If an A-10 loses one of the vertical stabilizers, you lose ALL tail control, even if all control wires and the still existing vertical stabilizer and elevator has 0 damage to them.

Gaijin bug moderators claimed this was fixed ( Руль высоты А-10 // Gaijin.net // Issues) 7 months ago but never was and is still an ongoing issue. Or another moderator claiming it’s an intended feature( unrealistic damage on a10 // Gaijin.net // Issues)!

So can anybody think of a way we can drive this up past the bug moderators as clearly it isn’t actually being passed on to the DEVS.

Stuff like this seems to be an issue for a few planes. I have had times where losing one aileron cause the opposite one to lose all function.

Maybe instructor issue?

Yup, the amount of times, I get hit by a manpad and instantly, loose all surface controls happens a lot while in the A10.

Compared to the SU25/39, where I can tank manpads left and right and still manage to make it back to base.

doesn’t the A10 have redundant systems to prevent this from happening?

I’m not saying to nerf the SU25, just make the damage model a lot more tankier or make it equivalent to the SU25

it has redundant controls, but if you lose an entire control surface well now there is nowhere for the redundant system to control lol

It’s the same thing in the flanker series. The whole aft section is interconnected for some stupid reason, meaning if you lose a single endpoint to either one of the rudders or elevons, you lose control of all of them fully

The other control surface tho

so fun fact, if you lose your left elevator, your aircraft is no longer having inputs from that elevator cause its gone. this will naturally make the aircraft more unstable

yes, so why is the right elevator also cut?

ive never had that issue in aircraft tbh
