Yes and no.
You are making it yourself way too easy here.
The mode is horrible for normal A10 players, I am talking about the regular players, not the ultra pros.
The A10 is slow as hell, making it one of the last planes, if not the last one to reach the battleground.
IF you manage to survive because in most matches there are one or two players that love to fly around with their supersonic jets and hunt A10 from behind.
Also if you manage to survive most of the targets are already destroyed, be it bases or ground targets.
When you get into a dogfight with a plane, your AIM-9L is mostly useless, if the enemy player has some awareness or a few flares.
Also to have the chance in the fight you have to drop your payload so you can manoeuvre somewhat, making your plane almost useless, since you are not only dropping your means to help the team, but also you are wasting money.
Not to mention how many times I had fights where the enemy plane had survived several hits from the 30mm Gatling, no matter which ammo belt I was using.
Please don’t get me wrong, I know the A-10 isn’t some miracle plane that can do anything or is perfect.
It has many flaws and yes I am at best an average plane player.
But it destroys all the fun I have in the game and it makes me want to deinstall it.
Especially if I have a good game, and with a good game I mean, I can get to the middle of the battle and kill some ground targets and maaaaaaaaybe one enemy, this plane makes a lot of fun.
I wish there would be a mode for planes like we have for chopper, that would be fun!
I mean you talk about a highly specialized aircraft optimized for ground attacks not really suited for a mode which at least in theory is about aerial warfare as whole - delete the AAMs out of your text and you can replace the A-10 with the Hs 129 (aka “Duck”).

I am also not a fan of this stupid and boring map design which allows enemies to locate you just by watching own units to disappear from the map.
And regarding fighters going for rather ez kills of strike aircraft - you have them in all BRs, either really good or really bad pilots; for the first group you are just kill #1, for the second group often the only chance to score a kill.

For player which play for fun only - i fully support this. A special PvE mode for high tier strike fighters tailored for players which have fun in tank busting might be suited to use them in their intended roles and to avoid being easy victim for PvP players…
then dont kill bases but focus on ground targets which eat tickets like crazy. You are literally flying a CAS aircraft like su25, dont expect it to perform good in air battles against fighters and interceptors
Su-25 can surprise dedicated fighters with surprising sustained turn rate. Especially with careful flap usage. Nobody with 2 brain cells turns with an A-10 (so it happens all the bloody time).
I’m currently grinding upgrades on Su-25 from tech tree, and the experience is a million times nicer than my A-10 Late experience. Even with R-60M vs AIM-9L.
I’ve even surprised people frontally by popping them with distance fused S-25O rockets. Su-25 is objectively stronger for ARB now.

They are quick and dirty CAS plan option for ground players that dont want to unlock a whole air tree.
If you wanna grind air play an actual air aircraft not and striker
Super easy to grind mods in ARB plenty of ppl willing to turn fight a sub sonic even when I go to ground pound with a10a late (I haven’t grinded the c yet so I can’t speak for it)
yes, but you already said yourself where its good then, just do the ground pound part in ARB actualy then.
Most of the people complaining here complain about it being bad A2A fighters
I grinded out the mods in ARB by ground pounding and only engaging in A2A when people get close to me try to launch aim9L within 4km and come out on top most of the time in a gun fight

You have one of the most op aircraft in game, capable of at the minimum getting 2 air kills each game in the hands of even a semi skilled pilot, while often facing planes with no flares, yet you want to be put even lower in br?
Sure, why not 1.0? Perhaps then the incredibly unskilled noob pilots in them will finally reach a 1 k/d…
Seriously tho, the only br change for these things should be up, with the a10a having its br tied to the tt one.
And if you get killed from 15 km away then I recommend pressing the chaff key once and if it’s pd (which the americans at that br basically have a monopoly on bc the f4s is also piloted by noobs and thus under br’d) do a mild turn until lock breaks.

Have you ever heard of the mythical “free look” button? But yes, it is quite fun to hunt tunnel visioned npc a10 pilots in aircraft with no countermeasures at all that way, especially bc in every other scenario the a10 would easily win the engagement bc it is op at its br

the aim 9l is one of the most difficult aim9 variants to flare, plus the a10 itself has near infinite countermeasures
and water is wet. That goes for every plane, however only the a10 retains its insane ground pounding potential with its 30mm, making this quote of yours a banger at comedy shows talking about american air players

I consider any game in the higher br tech tree a10 with less than 2 air kills a bad game, it is that op and a point and click adventure with its missiles
and entitlement that some thingts are meaned to differentiate the planes a little bit and reward players to pplay the tech tree variant, not to mention that the premium as a result gets a lower br as well which this people of course ignore
Honestly, give the A-10s like an airspawn but 3/4ths of the way to the battlefield. Playing them sucks ngl, they’re just so lethargic. I still won’t play them, I <3 the F-4E
