8,8 cm Flak 36 L/56 auf Pz IV Ausf.H

You can see that there’s no platform.

You can’t even reload the gun when it’s facing 90° to either side unless you stand at the edge of the side platform.

The chassis is simply too small for the gun to be effective.

And you know that WT doesn’t model any crew animations, so it would simply be impossible to even have a loader behind the gun when it’s rotating.

Meh, then he gets up on the fenders, but doesnt really matter anyway. Or depending on height and arm length he can reach the breech from the vehicle floor.

Idk, maybe what we’re seeing there is only the remains of what the vehicle used to be.

There’s already the VFW. So it would potential be the same just with the short 88 and made in the field instead of an actual prototype.

But there simply to little information to implement it.
Maybe it was a VFW with the FlaK 36 but already stripped apart or never completed.

Well certainly already stripped appart, on the different pictures already is continued stripping visible. Generally parts are missing.

You cant reload the ontos aswell without exiting the vehicle and it’s still ingame.

oh god, i need this

+1. If only this thing was fitted on Pz. III chasis… would be a sort of Chi-Ha LG brother. In fact, do you know of any WWII chasis (Pz. III/IV) armed with naval cannons (10.5 cm or even 15 cm)? In a manner like Japanese did with Chi-Ha

I fear not, as the army didnt use any Naval guns, only the other way around or also sometimes interchangable ammo. There are however a couple of 10,5 cm LeFH 18 armed vehicles and there is the Dicker Max and Sturer Emil in game.

+1!!

+1 for a flak tank you are allergic to fighter bombers and MG fire but you got a 88. The 88 is a excellent cannon so you can obliterate any tank you see and maybe to plane with the time fuse if your lucky.

+1 for the poor man’s VFW

Absolutely +1 to this poor mans VFW. If you think this is poor mans variant, here is a variant from the gulags

So it would even be better compared to the VFW, side skirts do not stick out affecting mobility, which also translates to a smaller profile from pesky flies who strafe you the millisecond they see you

I do love the we take tank hull put high power gun on it with a welder and call it a day. Most nations have one as it was very easy to do even Japan has one.
