6.7 Medium option for Germany

As we know the German 6.7 BR bracket is very heavy and slow, with our options being the two Tiger II’s the Ferdinand/Elefant, the Jagdtigers and not a lot of lighter vehicles, as our only light options on this particular BR is the German M41 Bulldogs, and no medium tank option for Germany at all.

there is an apparent lack of light/medium tank for germany in the 6.0 - 7.7 bracket as we skip from the 6.0 Panthers to the 7.7 M48A2C, as of now the only 2 option to play a medium tank in this br for germany is to bring out the 6.0 Panthers to 6.7 lineups which is fine but will struggle a lot on uptiers, and the other option is to bust out the 7.0 Panther II where you can get uptiered to 8.0, both of which is not an optimal solution

i would like to explore a couple of options regarding vehicles that can be added onto this BR bracket for german ground tech tree, more specifically for the medium tanks category. id also be rating them from the scale of 1-10 according to my opinion of how well it can be implemented

  1. Panther II/G turm - 6/10

the “accurate” Panther II is something that id always wanted in this game, though as of now with the br it would be better sitting at 6.3 and be used as a backup option for 6.7 lineups, the issue is again the gun, it will struggle a little in full uptiers against some of the american and soviet heavies, but the tank itself will be a better improvement over the regular Panthers

  1. Panzer 58 (KW 30/57) - 8/10

I will specifically mention the 90mm version, but the 20 pdr version is not that different imo, if we do get the swiss tech tree added as a Germany sub tree i think this tank would be a perfect fit for the 6.7 german lineup, of course the better option is to add it as a separate tech tree vehicle as switzerland is a very unique country, but if not then this is a very solid option.

  1. Europanzer Group A/ Porsche Model 734 - 8/10

The “Prototype” stage tank that birthed both the leopards and the amx 30, i think the specific tank of the Group A would be perfect for this br bracket, with the tank armed with 90mm gun instead of the 105mm L7, though i do need more research on the gun specifically cause i do not know if the gun is maybe too good for this br bracket. as far as im concerned this might be the best option if we wanted a distinct german tank for this br bracket

honestly id probably update this list further as i havent explore any of the east german option (though i do think i wont be able to find anything as the east germans are armed with T-34-85s and T-55s which are both either undertiered or overtiered for this specific problem)

m41 is not good enough, 76mm ADPS round isn’t likely to deal a fatal blow to an American heavy tank head-on, but it can be lethal against Soviet and German heavy tanks. ru251 should go back to 7.0.
panzer 58 looks great, its 90mm cannon have similar pen with kwk43, but no explossive.

i mean for me, having an option is still better than having none, and with the recent nerf to the Tiger 2 engines made the german 6.0-7.7 experience even more of a sluggish slop, we need light and medium in that br bracket more than ever to just prepare everyone for the whiplash that is 8.0 lineups

i was thinking maybe the Pz.58 with the 90mm for 6.7, with the Pz.58 with the 20pdr as a GE premium while the Pz.61 with the 105mm can serve as the 7.7 medium option

Pz.58 not good enough, it only has solid ap. Actually, there is a option by bring back flakpanzer 341(which is already meet the minimum requirements of suggestion), and remake its gun(flak 44 → flak341, a gun that have same performance with zsu-37-2, except fire rpm), then giving auto loader for panther f and jagdpanther(panther f auto loader has been test, and pak43/3 auto loader has build)

the autoloader for Jagdpanther sounds interesting, im not sure if its been tested in the jagdpanther hull itself, if you can link the paper for the test i wouldve really appreciate that, the autoloader for panther f is not the solution as again, the 75mm gun would struggle at uptiers and the best it can sit on is 6.3

My suggestion for a 6.7 medium option wouldve either been Pz.58 with either the 90mm or 20pdr, either is fine enough, or the prototype europanzer group a. and maybe we can add the Sp1C for a light tank option other than the german bulldog just to compliment that really heavy lineup with some lighter options
