War Thunder taught me the hard truth that nothing free is ever really free.
What started as fun turned into a routine.

Don’t waste your time on things that don’t really matter.

I would be right behind you, if I hadn’t decided 1000 days was enough log-ins for me. When you dedicate a piece of every day to this game, and your rewards are universal backups, meaningless boosters, and a decal you’ll never use, you are being robbed of your freedom.

I think it’s time you take your life back, and accept that it’s okay to miss a few battlepasses and events. It’s a liberating experience.

I do love War Thunder too, but they take the whole ‘fear of missing out’ thing to the next level. It’s either give up your life and all your free time to this game, or pay exorbitant prices to obtain every ‘unique, rare and exclusive’ event vehicle.

Gaijin truly doesn’t seem to give a !@#$ about their player’s mental health, when they ask of players who want to participate in the game’s events, to play for unrealistic hours, for weeks at a time. With little to no ‘down time’ between events, burnout happens. And people have lives that don’t revolve around War Thunder, but Gaijin don’t care. Part of me thinks they are all business and focus solely on extracting as much money out of their player base as possible. Part of me also see’s the labor of love this game is.

Well money is what funds the continuing production of a “free to play” game. I personally don’t grind out the events, but that’s because I play to relax and if I get enough points to grind out a vehicle that’s great. If I don’t oh well, it’s just a game.

I got 2 years of login, and I got a decal :/
I think gajin should reward a free tank or plane with title and skin for 5 years+

I’m going to play devil’s advocate, but you’re the only one who succumbs to this in the end. I’ve been playing since 2013 and I’ve missed an unimaginable number of events and battle passes.

t’s just a video game to us, just pixels.

If you miss some, it’s not a big deal. You shouldn’t have tunnel vision on a few vehicles when there are already hundreds of playable ones.

I’ll still grant you the part about the fact that they don’t care about the players’ mental health and that obviously everything is done to make you play as much as possible, or pay as much as possible.
