Russia has one of the worst shells at top tier, that being the “old” 3BM60 shell. The new 3BM44M Lekalo shell only recently entired service. It can be fired from the “older” 125mm found on the T-90, T-80 and T-72.
The 3BM44M Lekalo is a sub- caliber shell with a high-durability plug made of tungsten alloy, aswell as a more powerful gunpowder charge called 4Zh63. This gives the 3BM44M Lekalo 650mm of penetration.
This will be more in-line and balanced with its western counterparts.
3BM60 is fine, why does Russia need DM53 level penetration when their ammo is more than enough for the majority of things they fight? There are a grand total of ~four vehicles in the game that require a player with 3BM60 to actually aim for small weakspots to kill, everything else is an easy penetration through the hull/majority of turret for a one-shot.
Don’t see the imbalance. The uparmored Leopards need to be uptiered, not matched/exceeded in capability. Unless you also agree with fixing heavy ERA interaction (no longer guarantees protection of 200mm on unangled hits) and giving other nations anti-ERA darts to bring them also to the new level of performance.
