3bm42-2

Ok. Maby Wikipedia will do?

why would wikipedia work? do you know what a primary or secondary source is?

Yes, but only when it doesn’t involve discussing American shells.

It has a lot to do with overall rod length and the length of the penetrator.

How much longer is it?

well, we arent discussing american shells and you still dont seem to understand what they are so im not sure i believe you

Okay, if we take American ammunition as an example — M829A2 and M829A4 — we would see a similar increase in projectile length. However, the velocity of the M829A4 is about 50 m/s higher. So according to your calculations, the penetration power should increase significantly, right?

Seriously, if you can find that link, here you go .
Start reading from there.
But in nutshell
3bm42-2 uses different penetrator vs basic mango.
And it is 70MM shorter VS 3BM60.

Projectile length has nothing to do with the actual penetrator length. You have to remember on these anti-era rounds they use sacrificial tips. M829A3 and 4 use sacrificial tips while the A2 round just used its raw force.

Oh for the love of christ. Another Expo weapon?

thats like half of this game, it would be very boring if it wasnt imo

Not really but if were going on like that then in the near future it will be.

Pretty much everything after 10.0 is this way to be honest.

sure, but if we dont, we’ll have to wait like a decade for new higher tier MBTs

used AI, argument Immediately Invalid

They are very hard to get reliable info on due to classification but i wouldnt call vehicles and weapons that are actively in service expo weapons.

Yeah, I also noticed that the tip itself is lower than the body of the projectile.

True, but at least this round was actually fired and tested before being phased out due to economical decisions. Can’t say that about the KH38MT.
