Hello this topic about the Extra (50mm) front hull armor plate that strum tiger can get !
Why?
adding the 50mm plate won’t make the tank op it will help to tank more shots in the transmission !
Strum tiger is easy to kill with machine gun the round can be destroyed / 40s reload time.

The 38cm Sturmmorsers’s hull:
The front hull has an additional bolted on 50mm thick plate which is supposed to be on top of the 100mm thick plate, not 100mm only as is currently in game.

The 50mm plate was installed on the prototype and the early production Sturmtigers (18 total produced 1943-1945) and is present on the the Sturmtiger in the Kubinka Tank Museum / Patriot Park and other museums (pictures below). Although it was not on the later produced vehicles, it was present on the prototype the vehicle is modeled after and approximately half of the production run of Sturmtigers. This would be good change for the tank to better help it against threats it faces in-game which it did not in reality which was the reason it was not installed on later models due to the belief it was not required as the armor was adequate. The Sturmtiger is a casemate vehicle, meaning it lacks a turret like a Tiger for example. Due to this, the Sturmtiger is unable to angle like a Tiger to increase it’s effectiveness of the armor while being able to fight back at the same time. Yet the Sturmtiger is supposed to be up-armored compared to the Tiger H1 and E. So for gameplay purposes, this plate would make sense to provide a little more protection helping it stay in the fight as it was historically intended in close quarters combat scenarios such as in-game. This would still remain a weakspot for the vehicle while not being so thin that lightly-armed vehicles can kill or disable the transmission rendering the vehicle useless. This change would also justify the current battle rating.
