I recently finally managed, after close to a decade worth of grinding this game, to complete researching all of the various tec trees in War Thunder. There are some ways with which progress can be checked within the games interface, like for example the “Accelerate Research” tab.
But sadly, currently there is no single denunciator for one’s vehicle research and acquisition progress.
I suggest a fix to this niche ‘issue’
→ Add a progress marker to the “Vehicle Collector” player card
Gaijin should additionally implement further options in the second drop down menu to show the percentage for:
All vehicles in-game
All vehicles, excluding unobtainable
Tec tree vehicles only
Why this is needed
This change would go in the same vein as the already existing “Ace of Spades” option and should be added for the sake of completion and further expansion of the utility that these newish stat cards provide.
Both new and veteran players would be provided with accurate and continuously updated information of the total expanse of vehicles present in-game and his/her progress through said content. This will make planning out one’s tec tree grind easier and enable the posting of milestones across various social media platforms.

A percentage bar for how much of the game they have unlocked (that is obtainable to the player through f2p gameplay) would be cool as a little curiosity feature. Just hope that events they skipped don’t count
With how important the grind in WT is, I am generally surprised with how little there is in terms of being able to check how far you have progressed. For example the US air tec tree makes up only ~4% of the entire game.
Noh, I don’t want it. 😭 Rubbing into my face that how much vehichles I won’t be able to grind out. To be honest I have a fair amount of vehichles, but only because I grind to WW2 than I start other trees.
Dunno why you didn’t add “customisable” shouldn’t be too hard to make it customisable to show TT/Event/BP/ premiums
They could even add titles for it, hit X% of TT/event/Premium/BP vehicles, get “Grinder” (don’t send pics of your D point), “The main event” and “Whale” or “Way of the wallet”!
Thought about that but I feel like that would almost require a whole nother stat card to begin with. Might actually be better and wouldn’t crowd the “Vehicle Collector” card as much. May write up another one but I’d need time to think about how to illustrate it.
Hmmm, break those titles into stat cards maybe,
“collector” overall vehicles
“grinder” TT vehicles
“the main event” Event vehicles
“way of the wallet” Premium vehicles (excluding event/ BP)
“I shall pass” BP vehicles
Give the tiltes for anybody that passes between 50% and 75% of any of those.
There is so much stuff in the game that getting a percentage number may drive some players to insanity. Some people cant stand not seeing a game played to 100%
