  • Description :
    • The 2T Stalker, or BM-2T Stalker, is an armored reconnaissance vehicle developed by Minotor-Service, a Belarusian Company, to suite the needs of the Belarusian Army. Developed in the early to mid-1990’s, the 2T Stalker was designed to provide the Belarusian Army with a stealth-capable reconnaissance vehicle designed to operate up to 300km behind the front line. The 2T Stalker was a revolutionary design, especially being one of the first capable vehicles developed by the Belarusian Defense Industry. Built off of a modified 2S6M Tunguska hull, or the GM-352 Chassis, it is equipped with a V-46 super-charged diesel engine capable of producing 780hp to power critical systems and propel the vehicle, coupled with an Allison DDA X-1100-3B Automatic Transmission allowing for speeds of up to 95km/h. The vehicle is equipped with expanded fuel tanks to travel up to 1,000km for long endurance operations. The hull itself was designed to increase stealth capabilities by reducing IR and Radar cross-section as well as offering protection at the minimum against small to mid-caliber weapons. In terms of firepower, the 2T Stalker is equipped with a fully stabilized 30mm 2A42 autocannon with the capability of firing APDS-T, AP-T, HEF-I. and F-T rounds for different mission requirements. Complimenting the main gun is a 7.62mm PKT machine gun as well as an AGS-17 30mm automatic grenade launcher for self-defense purposes. The 2T Stalker also features 2x retractable missile launchers with standard loadout being one launcher is equipped with 2x anti-tank guided missiles, either the 9M114 Shturm or 9M120 Ataka, and the other being 2x 9K38 Igla anti-air missiles. Up to 12x anti-tank mines can be deployed from the vehicle as well. All the weapons are integrated into the vehicles Fire Control System (FCS) which features double channel day/night surveillance sights developed by Peleng for the Commander and Gunner that allows the crew to search, detect, and track in passive mode. The FCS also has an integrated laser rangefinder to assist in targeting. The Driver is equipped with a passive IR night vision sight as well as a rear TV camera to help in driving in day or night operations. Countermeasures include an integrated laser warning system and 12x 81mm smoke grenade launchers. All of weapon systems and electronics allows for the 2T Stalker to be a true multi-mission platform to engage multiple different targets whether they are land or air. The 2T Stalker was designed to operate independently or in small groups relying on its stealth capabilities to remain hidden. In 2001, a fully operational prototype was completed and presented at the IDEX 2001 exhibition in Abu Dhabi, show casing the capabilities of the 2T Stalker, including live fire testing as well as participating in a mobility course in an effort to garner export sales, however no customers purchased the vehicle. An estimated 30 vehicles were to be purchased by the Belarusian Army, however only 2 vehicles were built with no production orders. It is believed the 2x 2T Stalker prototypes are operated by the Belarusian Army.

  • In-game :
    • The 2T Stalker features a wide range of weaponry, a true multi-purpose platform capable of engaging main battle tanks, light vehicles, helicopters and even aircraft through long distance engagements. One key note, to increase stealth or prevent detonating the extended missile launchers, the launchers can be retracted into the vehicle. Not to mention it utilizes revolutionary stealth capabilities, decreasing the vehicle’s RADAR and Thermal signature which are critical to survive against higher ranked opponents. The 2T Stalker features decent armor, capable of withstanding some autocannon fire however is weak against armor piercing rounds above 30mm. It also equipped with a supercharged engine capable of high speeds. All these capabilities will allow the 2T Stalker to be able to ambush and flank vehicles, use its stealth and scouting ability to reveal potential targets, and push to capture points.
    • Estimated Battle Rating: 9.3

Seeing the Vilkas, AGS, T-72M2 Moderna, etc. I think this is likely going to be an event vehicle/crafting or grinding reward at some point.

I’m really looking forward to it
