2S38 to 11.0

Please tell me where I have signed up for some group?

I have pointed out things like that:

and

So where was I talking about B.R. of 2S38 or calling someone names?

HSTVL is double the speed of 2S38 with a 30KPH higher top speed, it’s smaller, slightly more armored, with a vastly superior gun, better round, and superior gun laying.

It is also. 11. Point. 3. It also isn’t an autocannon based IFV with AA capabilities.

So if you’re not talking about BR or calling names, you’re just here to distract from the convo? Gotcha.

Which is why it’s 11.3 and not 10.3. HSTVL is so vastly superior to 2S38 and Strf 9040C.
Which is why the HSTVL cost more than all other light vehicles in the world to prototype.

Okay? BR doesn’t mean something is better or worse, or even an indicator of how much better or worse. That’s the entire reason for this thread existing. Gaijin is inept at balance, and always has been. The Ki-84 Hei is at 7.7 in arcade. It fights Mig 15s.

Does that mean the Ki-84 Hei is capable of fighting a Mig-15? It sure the fuck is not.

The Otomatic is a full BR and a half higher than the 2S38, does that mean it is better? No. The Otomatic is in fact worse at doing its job than the 2S38 is.

Is the HSTV-L better than the 2S38? Meh. Kind of. Not really. It’s a lot faster as a light tank, and can flank better, can get into cheeky spots with its insane depression, but otherwise it performs a different role. The 2S38 can sit hull down, and be area denial. It can do a LOT more damage in a lot shorter time frame than the HSTV-L can, just like most IFVs can, just because of its rate of fire and ammo options.

It can also perform as an anti-air. So no, it’s not that much worse than the HSTV-L, it’s just sitting in a different role. It’s like comparing the Puma to the Begleit.

Arcade flight models are far more cracked than RB flight models.
A2D is 9.0 in air arcade and that’s 100% deserved.
OTOMATIC fires DM23 equivalent rounds, that’s the only reason it’s above 10.0.

HSTVL is the 2nd fastest tank in the game, period. The fastest is the VT-1-2 casemate tank.
There are no hull-down maps anymore. 2S38 is as weak as Strf 9040C to APFSDS.

2S38 is 10.0, not 9.0. 2S38 being a 9.3 SPAA at 10.0 doesn’t mean anything. 2S38’s SPAA ability is entirely irrelevant to its BR.

2S38, Begleit, HSTVL, and Strf 9040C are all BR’d based purely on their anti-tank capabilities since their anti-air is vastly inferior.

There are plenty of places you can hull down. You can even hull down behind destroyed tanks, which is something I do in my AFT-09 all the time.

The 2S38 is NOT as weak as the Strf 9040C to APFSDS, for one thing the 9040s can all be one shot through the turret, basically anywhere near the breech. Even if you don’t instantly kill it, you will kill crew and damage the turret ring/breech. The 2S38 has an insanely tiny breech, and an unmanned turret. Making it much more resistant if you use it like it is intended, i.e. hull down. Similar to how you are meant to use the Puma.

The Begleit and 2S38 have fantastic anti-air capabilities, and the 2S38 is arguably better than the Otomatic because of how jank and awful radar tracking is compared to IRST. I primarily used the BMP-2M as a backup anti-air for a long time just because of how strong the IRST lock on was. Which did me no favors at killing tanks, due to proxy fuze ATGMs.

2S38’s breach is normally sized, there’s nothing tiny about it.
On top of that it has the least depression of the auto-lights.

Anti-air is inferior to its 10.0 BR thus irrelevant.
OTOMATIC has IR tracking as well.

Anything else wrong to say? (Those are the breeches of a 35mm and a 30mm)

One of those breeches has a double stack dual feed system.
It’s accurate.
2S38’s 57mm cannon is only single feed single stack.

All you did with those images is prove my statement correct and disprove your previous.

Yeah okay pal.

Dude’s out here complaining that single stack magazines are thinner than 2 stack and quad stack.
