The 2s1 is an amphibious vehicle why is it unable to go in water?? from this article from Global Defense News it says- “The 2S1 is fully amphibious, being propelled in the water by its tracks at a maximum speed of 4.5 km/h.” (2S1) and of course I have heard that it needs a bit of prep before going in the water but other vehicles need the same done. Another argument is that the earlier versions of it could only go in water, I am pretty sure this version could go in water as well as stated in it’s wikipedia article-(2S1 Gvozdika - Wikipedia) the same type as in the game is being talked about here. I have no idea if this has been answered somewhere else and maybe I am completely wrong but from what I have seen I think they should change this. (I dont have my computer with warthunder on me now but I tested this yesterday) you can find a screenshot on the warthunder reddit (sorry for not putting the link here)

probably the same reason the m113’s arnt anymore, weight
Even then both are amphibious however their weight is why they can’t. So I agree. Though should get a modification to help with that.
Same reason T-80s, Scimitar and other stuff aren’t: they need preparation for amphibious use.
The grates on the back of the turret need to be fitted over the front of the tracks, and canvas screens installed around the engine deck
