It feels rather unbalanced for .3 higher you can just Pay for a better boat Gneisenau getting 15inch guns so i thin to solve the problem both Gneisenau and Scharnhorst where intended to get refitted with bigger guns during construction as it was whole class thing but because she was sunk she didn’t get the opportunity too. this wouldnt really affect the sales of the premium as it is Gneisenau the newest ship in her class it seems a more balanced option for the class. Gneisenau is only .3 higher too which means they face off alot which gives the Gneisenau a huge advantage as the 38CMs can do killing damage to scarnhorst if aimed right while the 28CM cant as its low pen prevents it and its reload doesnt help that much as spam cant solve anything. just for fair play and a what if Scharnhorst didnt sink it would also raise them to equal br balancing the game

It had been originally planned to regun the Scharnhorst class with 38 cm guns and then use the surplus 28 cm turrets to arm the first three of a new generation of Panzerschiffes, the “Kreuzer P” class. Additional guns and mountings were to be built to arm additional units of this class. However, all of these plans were abandoned at the start of the war.
i dont think paying for 80 dollar ship should give you a advatange against the tech tree yes for only a .3 BR raise you get bismarck guns really op if you ask me
Image isnt loading properly but the key difference between gnesinau and scharnhorst is one had the work begun for the conversion and the other didn’t, hence why they are as they are in game, if gnesinau hadn’t had the work at least started she would’ve been a scharnhorst copy
