I have a question about the 105mm DM63. Supposedly, this ammunition dates from 1990, but it has marginally better performance than the DM33, which is from 1985. How is such a small improvement possible when one is five years newer? Shouldn’t it have some advantages over the earlier version? Like significantly better penetration, or the ability to penetrate Kontakt-5 armor, since we’re talking about ammunition from 1990, when the T-80U and the T-72B (1989) were already quite well-known.
