What you mentioned reminds me of a baffling change made to the 99A in the past.
Back in May 2023, the 99A’s base upper front plate armor received a buff, allowing it to withstand hits from DM53, putting its UFP protection on par with the current T-90M.
However, in a minor update in October 2024, the dev team referenced a table of unknown origin posted by issue moderator TrickZZter, showing JM33 firing tests against the 99A. As a result, the 99A’s UFP armor was outright reduced by 200mm of KE protection. Now, once the ERA is stripped off, it can no longer withstand a direct hit from any APFSDS round with over 500mm of penetration.

Typical Gaijin style lol .The ZTZ99A is broken in this video game . Game is game .
Gaijin add Tor-M1(SA-15) for Chinese tech tree instead of Russian because this vehicle is useless .
I admire you guys “suggest” Gaijin to do things right but spending a lot of time for “not a bug”.

three years ago,i found the MBT2000 missing the additional track at hull,i submitted the issue and gaijin accepted it
three years later, nothing changes.

You could also try linking the bug report itself so that it can gain traction by giving those upset a direct passage to the system.

Give it a few more years. Gaijin is absolute crap at actually fixing anything, unless it’s really game-breaking (and even then it can take weeks). There are still modeling issues on tanks that were added back in 2014. Gaijin refusing to fix these issues on the ZTZ99A isn’t a matter of bias, it’s just how they’ve always been when it comes to fixing historical issues.

It won’t be fixed. Russian thought is that China is the little brother to Russia. The little brother cannot be equal to the big brother.
Why would Gaijin care? Chinese players will still play the game. Chinese players will still buy premiums. The only time they worked together was to prevent the Thai (Japan) tree from getting VT4. Chinese players care more about that than fixing Chinese tanks.
